By far, the most important thing in my life is Jesus Christ. I attend West Cabarrus Church which is located just down from Lowes Motor Speedway. I am very active in the youth group and enjoy playing guitar on Wednesdays in our new, two or three member band "The Pack".

I have been playing guitar for about five and a half years, and trumpet for five. My musical tastes range from bluegrass to jazz; mostly Christian. I am very active in my high school's band program. Our band program consists of about 300 people. I am the trumpet section leader in the marching bands well as the principle player (1st chair) in the Wind Ensemble. In addition, I play guitar in the High School Jazz Ensemble.

As far as my future goals, I am aiming to become a Naval Officer. I am currently applying for an NROTC scholarship to Virginia Tech or N.C. State as well as an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. I recently recieved a nomination from Senator Edwards to the Merchant Marine Academy. I plan on studying some form of mechanical engineering.

As far as other interests, I am an Eagle Scout in Troop 91. I have also taken up golf. I'm not very good yet, but I'm progressing.
