Barry Mann-Cynthia Weil
(l to r: Barry, Cynthia, some guy I don't know, David Pearl, Lynne Randell, and Davy Jones)
Two of the hottest young songwriters in the 60s. They wrote a couple of The Monkees best songs, "Shades of Gray" and "Love is Only Sleeping".
Rose Marie
A cast member on The Dick Van Dyke Show. Rose appeared in two Monkees episodes, "Monkee Mother" and "Monkees in a Ghost Town". Micky wrote a song about her called, oddly enough, "Rose Marie".

Another memorable actress to appear on the Monkees show. Lea appeared in 2 episodes; "Monkee See, Monkee Die" and "Monkees on the Line". She also appeared in many 60s television shows including That Girl and Perry Mason, and had a small role in the movie "Easy Rider"
Bill Martin
Another Monkee songwriter. Bill wrote "All of Your Toys" and "The Door Into Summer". Bill played on the song "Daydream Believer", and various PACJ songs.
Deana Martin
The eldest daughter of Dean Martin. Deana and Davy used to date from time to time, while he was also seeing Sally Field. Supposedly, Dean Martin specifically picked Davy to date Deana. Anyway, she appeared in the Monkees episode "Some Like It Lukewarm" and was also an aspiring country singer. Hmm
Victor Mature
Born in 1913, Victor Mature was a major actor in many movies in the 40s, 50s and 60s including Samson and Delilah, My Darling Clemintine, and The Robe. He also happened to play the role of the evil 'Big Victor' in the Monkees 1968 movie HEAD. Victor Mature passed away in 1999.

Buddy Miles
A great drummer from my hometown, Omaha, Nebraska. Buddy played with The Electric Flag and The Buddy Miles Express, and appeared in a band with Jimi Hendrix called "Band of Gypsys" before Jimi passed away. Buddy appeared in The Monkees tv special 33 1/3 RPM and was a friend of Peter's. He played drums on one of Peter's songs called "Lady's Baby", which also features Steve Stills of the Buffalo Springfield

Ann Moses
The Editor of Tiger Beat magazine. Though Tiger Beat wasn't as influencial or popular as 16 magazine, Ann Moses got more Monkees exclusives than Gloria Stavers did.
Christian Nesmith
The first son of Mike and Phyllis, and also, the first child of any of The Monkees. Christian's pictures were in a lot of the Tiger Beat magazines for some reason...
Jason Nesmith
(l to r: Jason Nesmith, Donovan Leitch)
The only son of Mike and Nurit Wilde. Jason has reached a level of success in Britian with his band "Nancy Boy" (with Donovan's son), and was in "The 60s" mini-series. He quit Nancy Boy and now does his own stuff. I hear its pretty good.

Phyllis also was a singer and sang back up on the Monkees song "Auntie's Municipal Court". Her and Samantha Dolenz owned a clothing boutique together
Julie Newmar
She played catwoman on the Batman tv series and is one of the most memorable guests to appear on The Monkees' tv show. She played April Conquest on episode #29.
Jack Nicholson
Multiple Academy Award Winning Actor and all around cool guy. Jack co-wrote The Monkees one and only movie HEAD. Later he and Monkees producer Bob Rafelson would collaborate on movies like "Easy Rider" and "Five Easy Pieces". Jack also hung out with the Monkees on their 1967 tour to get ideas for the movie script.
Harry Nilsson
Singer/Songwriter who became famous thanks to his participation with The Monkees. They were the first band to use any of his songs. ("Cuddly Toy", "Daddy's Song"). He got a record deal shortly after giving his songs to The Monkees. The Beatles declared Harry to be their favorite singer in 1968. Harry had some hits in the late 60s and early 70s including "Without You", "Everybody's Talkin", and "Coconut". He always remained good friends with Micky, the two of them were party animals in the mid 70s with John Lennon during his "lost weekend". In 1977, Davy and Micky appeared in Harry's play 'The Point' in London before having a big falling out. Harry died in 1994. (We love you Harry!)

Peter Noone
Lead singer of Herman and the Hermits and another major 60s fave rare. Peter recently toured with Davy Jones and Bobby Sherman in the Teen Idols Tour. Recently Davy quit the tour, only to be replaced by Micky! Weird huh? Peter's also in the Monkees Documentary, "Hey Hey, We're The Monkees."
Go visit Peter at his own website because I said so!
David Pearl
(l to r: Davy Jones and David Pearl)
Davy's shadow and best friend. David was also part of the San Antonio mafia. He was dubbed the 5th Monkee and also became the grop's tour manager and stand-in on their tv show. Interesting enough, David dated Davy's first wife before Davy did.

One of the Monkee makers. Bob created the show "Hootenanny" and was the associate producer of "The Grestest Show on Earth". In 1965 Bob became associated with Bert Schneider and formed Raybert. A short time later, he and Bert came up with the idea for The Monkees televison show. Bob directed a few episodes (Monkees in Paris, Monkees on Tour, Monkee vs. Machine, etc.) He became good friends with Jack Nicholson and they co-wrote the script to HEAD, and later worked together on the movies "Easy Rider" and "Five Easy Pieces".

A young Australian singer who was one of the opening acts for the Monkees 1967 tour. I can't remember what song she sang, if anyone knows please e-mail me
Joey Richardson
(l to r: Joey Richardson, Peter Tork)
(authors note: This is the only pic I've seen of Joey. It was taken when he and Peter attended Rick Klien's wedding)
Co-writer of "For Pete's Sake". Joey was Peter's friend from Greenwich Village and was rooming with him around the 'Headquarters' sessions. He only added a couple lines to the song "For Pete's Sake", but Peter gave him credit anyway.
Linda Ronstadt
The lead singer of The Stone Poney's who sang a cover of Mike's song "Different Drum", which made the Top 20. In the 70s, Linda had big success in her solo singing career.
