The Old Palatine Church
- as it appeared on 10/6/1921. Notice that the original door
to the right has been closed up and two doors have been created in the
windows at the left. It has since been restored to the original
configuration. Photo taken by Edith Diefendorf, Bruce's cousin, and
daughter of Jacob Keller Diefendorf.

-
Bruce & Addie
- She was the daughter of Zimron & Esther Merriam. The pose
might suggest that this is their wedding picture?
-
House at Gunn's Corners
- This house stood on the SE of Gunn's Corners (intersection
of Rts. 12 and 180). I believe this is where Bruce & Addie lived
when they first got married, and if so, Roy was born here. No longer
standing, it was about half a mile north of the old homestead in Perch River.
-
Yahoo map of Gunn's Corners
- The house I believe was Bruce and Addie's first stood just "under
the H in Herbretch". The old homestead, owned by John Peter was deep in
the Vee formed by 128 and 180.

-
George, Ernie and Roy
- My Sarah resembles Roy quite strikingly.
-
Roy & Ernest
- Carolyn Perkins told me that when Ernie was a toddler her mother
gave Ernie a "haircut" cutting off his curly locks, which Addie loved.
(She had five boys and never a girl. According to CP, Addie liked for Ernie
to have longish, curly hair, which she took some pride or pleasure in.)
