his finest performance during the war years. He was a Squadron
leader for the 703rd BS in the 445th BG before being transferred into the
453rd Bombardment Group to be their Operations Officer. Before the War's end
he was promoted to Chief of Staff of the Second Combat Wing, 2nd Division,
8th Army Air Force.
