In my opinion, most Australian's are fun loving, friendly and usually straight to the point. No bull!!
We are not all Crocodile Dundee's wrestling wild animals, although I must admit there are quite a
few I have encountered who would like to think they were, specially after a few "brews",ummm beers, if you get my drift? *grin*
Most Aussie's are just like you and I, we work hard, love our families and friends and enjoy nothing more
than a day spent with them, whether at the beach, on a picnic, tramping through the bush, or at home in our own backyard,
lighting up the BBQ. Australian's love the outdoors...and we are lucky to be blessed with one of natures most wonderful "outdoors".
The weather in Australia ranges from 'bloody cold' to 'stinking hot'. Depending on where you are and
the time of year it is. The thing that most people in the northern hemisphere find
difficult to imagine is that our seasons are almost opposite. We don't have a white
Christmas, December and January are our hottest summer months. However, in June we
get out the jumpers (sweaters), as that is when we have winter. Australia has a wide climate range,
from tropical in the north to temperate in the south. Summer is from December to February;
Autumn (what Americans call fall) is from March to May; Winter from June
to August; and Spring from September to November.

Australia, commonly known as 'the land
Down Under', the 'great southern land' or simply 'Oz' is the sixth largest country in the
world. Australia is the only nation that occupies a whole continent. It is an
island of 7,682,300 square kilometres. Australia is an independent Western democracy, with
a population of 18 million. Australia lies between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. She is
divided into six states, New
South Wales(NSW),Victoria(Vic), South Australia(SA) Western Australia (WA) Queensland (QLD) and Tasmania (Tas) and two
territories, Northern Territory
(NT) and Australian Capital
Territory (ACT).
