JC's Review -

This is definately one of the band's weaker CDs. I'm not gonna go to hard on them though, because Smells Like Children is only considered an EP, rather than a full album. You can definately tell that this is more about experimentation with sound, instead of trying to write a really good album. This CD does have several moments of salvation with the cover songs "Sweet Dreams (are made of this)", I Put a Spell on You", and "Rock & Roll Nigger", along with a couple OK remixes. The other tracks are nothing but keyboard noise or distorted voices. This is enjoyable every now and then, but is nothing to pay much attention to or listen to often.

Jesse's Review -

Ok, first off the bat I would like to say this CD doesn't show the stronger side of the "spooky children", BUT it did make there mark on MTV, which made them main stream and known to all with their smash hit "Sweet Dreams (are made of this)". I personally think it's dull. For one reason, the song's not their's which makes the listener not pay much attention to the lyrics (opinion). The other two song not on POAAF, "I Put a Spell on You" and "Rock and Roll Nigger" are both other band's songs. Don't get me wrong, they sound great, but it looses passion and depth. Well anyway, the rest of the cd is a bunch of remixes and samples. In other words, it sounds like Trent Reznor took the CD and had fun with it!

Greg's Review -
This loud, murky, and distorted album was on store shelves in 1995, only to show the world what kind of man Marilyn Manson really is. The album by my point of view is one of his best, with Sweet Dreams(are made of ths), Everlasting C***sucker (Remix), and Rock 'n' Roll Nigger being my top 3 favorite tracks off of it. If you havn't already purchased it..GET IT...if your into sadistic-satanic-metal preaching that God is evil.

***NOTE***
Despite what Greg says, this album, or this band has nothing to do with sadistic-satanic-metal preaching that God is evil.
