Enough of that. Many of you may wonder why I'd take the time to write a history of heavy metal, thus losing several hours that could be spent on anything else. The answer is rather simple. Having listened to the aforementioned musical genre for several years now, I thought I could sort of repay the general scene by clearing up unfounded rumors and errors. It didn't take that much time to write anyway.
Do I expect some kind of reward? No. I would very much appreciate it if you decide to send me something related to metal in any way, but that would be far beyond my expectations. It would be even more pleasing if you'd like to hire me for some type of job, as long as my schedule and approval permit it, but once again, that is not why I set out to write the document.

Will this clear up all misinformation about heavy metal? No. Will it stop certain radically conservative groups from accusing us of being degenerate or Satanic (doubly Satanic in my case, because of AD&D)? No. Will it stop certain magazines from printing ridiculous articles and stories? No. But it hopefully will help you and everyone who reads this document understand the way heavy metal has evolved through time, to the approval of some and the dismay of others. And if you don't even like heavy metal, you may learn a lot of the genre's history and still be able to exercise your right to decide which type of music you like best.
As for what lies in the future, I really don't know. Ideas? There are plenty of them, mainly of my band taking over the heavy metal world soon and being worshipped worldwide by raving hordes of headbanging lunatics. Ok, maybe the future isn't that sweet, but one thing is certain; heavy metal will never die. It will never die because it lives in every single one of us, and even if our numbers are quite diminished (which reminds me of giving a big "THANK YOU!" to Japan and Europe for proving the last bulwarks for heavy metal), nobody's a more headstrong person than the real metal listener. So here's to us, to the bands (to my band), and above all, to all those who've fallen in the line of duty…Long live Heavy Metal!
PD - I know the page needs some critical updating, but my life outside the Internet is still very time-consuming and my band will still remain a critical priority of mine. Until I have some more time, take care.
