Well, a lot has happened since the last time we updated! The guys have been on tv more times than you can count on one hand, made news headlines in magazines all over the Country and...hmm...what else. OH YES..."Millennium" was released!

Perhaps you've seen those Disney Channel concert specials starring *NSYNC, Brandy, 5ive, etc., and wondered why the Backstreet Boys hadn't done one yet. Wonder no longer! The Boys are going to be taping a special for Disney in May that will air on July 5th. It's destined to be VERY cool!

It looks as though we won't have to wait much longer for some BSB TV! Howie was recently interviewed on the Orlando radio station 102.7 KIIS FM and announced that had just finished taping an episode of Nickelodeon's "All That" and an appearance for MTV's "Fanatic". Both are set to air soon. (We'll let you know when.)

Need something to hold you over til Millenium comes out? On April 27th a new video called "Homecoming-Live in Orlando" is going to be released! This is obviously the Pay-Per-View concert.

In a recent edition of the Orlando Sentinel, there was a short but revealing interview with our favorite Boys. It seems that they are no longer trying to hide the fact they have girlfriends, and are quite honest and open about it. Especially A.J. Amanda's name came up more than once in the interview. "Mclean, sporting fake leopard slippers, talked about his girlfriend Amanda Latona's new 3-month year old Shih Tzu puppies, Panda and Bear." and "We're thinking about getting a winter home-some place where there's snow," Mclean said. "I hate it but my girlfriend loves it." (*awwwww*) Howie once again states that even though he IS dating, he isn't totally tied down. And he's also very busy with his condos. Dorough showed up for lunch looking like a Young Republican. We're talking Tommy Hilfiger long-sleeve plaid shirt and navy slacks. "I'm going to a business meeting later," Dorough explained. He is developing Florida condos and dabbling in investment. (GO HOWIE!) Nick, Brian and Kevin were unusually quiet in this article. Either they weren't talking or they didn't say anything that interesting. (Which we HIGHLY doubt!)

Teen People Online had this bit of news about Howie and his sis Pollyanna recently.
All in the Family: Howie D. of the Backstreet Boys helps out his sis, Pollyanna Dorough, in the recording studio. Howie is producing Pollyanna's upcoming album with Ernie Lake of Soul Solution.

A Canadian Music Magazine(? we're not sure if it's a magazine or an internet site or what...) called JAM! Music has reviewed the top pop stars of today. Listing everyone from Britney Spears to B*WITCHED and 98 Degrees to Aaron Carter, the BSB were in the group as well. (Although WE think they're much too mature. :D) Here's what was said about them.

On the whole, not a bad review. They admit that these guys are talented and DO have what it takes to last. FINALLY! :)

The day we were all waiting for has now come and gone! "Millennium" has been released!!! With all the hype now over (sorta), it's time for us to all sit back, turn the volume on our stereos up FULL BLAST, and enjoy this incredible piece of work that our Boys spent so much time working on. This cd is really awesome, and a lot of people seem to think so too! "Millennium" sold HALF A MILLION copies here in the states on the FIRST DAY!!!! And on the same day, they went platinum in Canada! GO BACKSTREET!

Millenium fever is sweeping the nation! Fans everywhere are coming down with a major case of what Smash Hits magazine is calling PMS (Pre-Millenium Stress). "I Want It That Way" is the number one request on radio stations all over the country, and the countdown to Millenium seems to really have begun! May is going to be a very busy and exciting month for both the BSB and the fans!

"I Want It That Way" is taking the USA by storm! Fans nationwide have heard it and LOVE IT. (We've heard it as well and may we just say that it is AWESOME!?!?!?) But be prepared - almost every single person we've talked to cried/sobbed/wept/bawled/etc. the first time they heard it (including Sarah here at FleaMarket Boys). We're not sure if it's the CONTENT or just the fact that our Boys have put out something that is not only new but really wonderful that is stirring up emotions. Maybe it's both! Or maybe it's the fact that all five guys get to sing solo that's making everyone tear up. If you haven't heard it, you WILL SOON!

Here are the lyrics to "I Want It That Way". It appears that there are two different versions: The radio version and one that is thought to be a cd/demo recording of the song. Don't ask us WHY they made two different versions. Perhaps we'll know in time.

Ok, it's officaially...well...official! The first single off of "Millennium" will be....*drum roll please*..."I WANT IT THAT WAY"!! According to Hitmakers.com:
"DAVE DECKER, MD, WZPL, Indianapolis- BACKSTREET BOYS- I Want It That Way (JIVE) - You've heard it here first. This will be a #1 record!"
DJ Dave also has this to say: "What I heard was a rough demo copy of the song on a cassette tape. It's AWESOME, but it's not done yet. No radio stations in the country have a CD copy of it yet, and we probably won't get it for another month or so. But, get ready, because it is the best song they've ever done by far!" Recently we were pulling out all of our Backstreet Boys tv appearances that we've taped and found ourselves watching the MTV VMA for what just might have been the 50th time. We decided that it might be fun to see if we could spot the guys in the audience all during the award show. And so, with a lot of pausing and slow-mo, we were able to locate them. If you have it taped, go to Ben Stiller's opening words where he's talking to that guy on the tv screen. Look BEHIND Ben and you can see all five guys! Kevin is the easiest to spot since he's wearing a lighter color of suit, but once you find him, Nick, A.J., Howie, and Brian aren't hard to see. Something we thought was rather cute was Brian filming the whole thing on the camera MTV had given them! Watch for it!
During other parts of the show we noticed that the guys were sitting on the same row as Winona Ryder and Andy Dick. Later, on a close up of the lovely couple, WHO did we happen to see sitting directly BEHIND them??? None other than miss LeighAnne Wallace and Amanda Latona (Brian and A.J.'s girlfriends)! (If we had a nickle for every time someone told us LeighAnne was NOT there....) We noticed Amanda first, since we already knew she was there. But then Lauren pointed out a tanned woman with long blonde hair and DARK eye mascara on...HELLO! We spotted her in the crowd a few other times as well.
