May 1, 1999: Minifest, UNH, Durham, NH

This was an all day festival featuring everything from art to games to sports to, yes, live bands. We were given third from the top billing sand due on at 4pm, but a stupid mistake by the promoters, and some greedy time-slot hogging, led us to go on at 2:30pm after the ever so talented UNH drumming club. They were oh so great by the way:-) We had 3 minutes to sound check, but we sounded ok. There were only about 10-15 people at one time sitting and watching, and most of them were made up of girlfriends, sisters, and friends. The rest of the time people continued at their activities but clapped and hollered their approval. Except for two guys idiot dancing who REALLY put the f***ing idiot in Idiot dancing, the gig was fun, although the hippy atmosphere wasn't our favorite. The best was a girl who cheered and danced through our version of The Who's "Shakin' All Over" and yelled afterwards, "I love Bim!" *sigh* This one's on tape too. Originals are marked with an asterisk.
