miles standish
is a three piece rock band consisting of Drew Athans (guitar,vocals), Theo Mazur (drums and percussion) and Alex Athans (bass guitar, backing vocals). The band hails from Plymouth,NH, although Drew and Theo are also fulltime undergrads at the University of New Hampshire in Durham,NH. The list of influences ranges from The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Cream and Hendrix to R.E.M., Blur, and Primus. They have been together since the spring of 1997, and started playing covers of their favorite bands. They eventually began to write their material themselves and have been writing since then, in addition to plaing many covers and extending jams and improvisations during 2 songs with solos, themes, and a violin bow guitar solo.
