OK.. So you don't know how to send and receive patches from your GSP-2101?

Here's how!

Step 1:
You need a soundcard that support MIDI IN/OUT, usually through a joystick 15 pin "D" connector on the back of the card. Any Soundblaster (tm) will do. In Windows '98, go to Control Panel, check multimedia, choose the MIDI tab and make sure that you have some sort of MIDI OUT device.

Step 2:
Get yourself a joystick/midi cable.

Cables 'n More sells them, and so do tons of other computer/music related stores. Plug the 15 pin "D" end into your soundcard and plug the Midi In cable into the Midi Out jack of the GSP-2101. Plug the Midi Out cable into the Midi In jack of the GSP-2101.

Step 3:
Use Sysex Solution '97 v2.1c or any midi/sysex program. Make sure it is configured corectly by selecting the appropriate midi in/output ports in the program's midi setup window. You are now ready to send/recieve and save midi sysex data from your GSP-2101 via the MIDI button on the front of the GSP-2101.
