| About us playing in My Girlfriend | |||||||||||||||||

We are Martti Girlfriend Maekkelae (fame of Miracle G(Y)RLz), Gabi Girlfriend (fame of Else Admire & The Breitengüssbach Dolls) and Jake Hithouse (fame of Greenhouse AC). Martti is the singer/guitarist, Gabi plays the bass and Jake is responsible for drumming. The most stupid one is most likely Martti who started building this homepage yesterday and immediately forgot the username and password. So - this one is NEW! We're a punkrock band. We play only our own songs and one Johnny Thunders cover (Leave Me Alone aka. Chatterbox). | ||||||||||||||||

Yes we played one! The incredible surprise of the "Down By The Kemijoki"-Festival 1998. In Rio Grande bar in Rovaniemi/Finland close to the arctic circle in the worst summer that ever happened to see Lapland. This was actually the last one and till now the only one as well. Only 1 or 2 hours after the show Martti was sitting in his Volkswagen van and throwing up for at least 15 minutes. Maybe longer. Who knows? Who cares? | ||||||||||||||||

Fürth, Germany and Rovaniemi, Finland. Quite hard to rehearse as you might imagine. Anyway - rehearsing is not the most important thing for a brillant punkrockband. More important are definitely the gigs. As we already have played the important Down By The Kemijoki Festival in Rovaniemi, our next aim is of course the CBGBs in N.Y.C.! If anyone of you gets us there we'll mention him on this page and invite him for a drink. Maybe two. In Fürth. Or "Rio Grande" Bar in Rovaniemi. | ||||||||||||||||
