dj name: kuttin kandi age: 23 location: crazy ass queenz in new york place of birth: queens, ny race: filipina crews: fifth platoon, anomolies & rock with finesse length of time djing: 6 years on and off, 4 years observing in the turntablism scene, and 2 years of battling in competitions what kind of tables you got: technics 1210's what kind of mixer: vestax 05 (i wish i had the limited haha) what do you think is the best brand & why: vestax, because it has a smooth sound when u skratch and i like that certain "feeling" of the mixer. it's the best kind of mixer to use in a competition what cuts, scratches etc. can you do: i can do most basic skratches such as chirp, chop, transform, scribble etc..i can also do technical skratches such as flares: orbit, continous, flutter etc.., crab and i can do combos such as orbit-crab-chirp-transform. etc..etc.. other elements preformed & time doing them: i use to break at the age of 9 up until i was about 11. i was very young at the time. i use to try to graff when i was 16 yrs old back in high school..and from time to time, i write lyrics..and try to freestyle every now and then. quote: "it is our duty to bring back the true essence of hiphop and to give back to the community.." ~kuttin kandi e-mail: kuttinkand@aol.com |
