DDefinitely the most SILLY musical
conglomeration the UK ever produced, the Bonzos were one of a kind, their
style of humour was never to be repeated . Anarchy, madness , rudeness
and spontaneity were their watchword and they were capable of almost any
sort of weirdness on a good night. There were those who were inspired by
their work such as the wacky Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias - who came
along in the late 70s - but good though they were ,these were mere amateurs
compared to the Bonzos.
What really made the
Bonzos stand out was the inclusion in their ranks of the late, much lamented
Vivian Stanshall, their moustachioed lead singer. Viv was special and no
one could get near him in terms of sheer silliness.
