Mr Leven has been a somewhat prolific
visitor to our shores this past six months or so, a tour in 1998 followed
by this Womad stint meant he visited Adelaide twice. I missed his Governor
Hindmarsh stint last year due to illness, but the Womad sets were excellent
. Jackie was a bit annoyed to have to play in the early afternoon on Sunday
when he found the heat was rather oppressive, but he delivered a fine set
with some gusto despite his discomfort. I have a radio concert recording
from Sydney which is worth listening to and he even scored an appearance
on ABC TV's 7;30 report which I unfortunately missed recording due to my
sloth. |
