Blood Stained School Grounds
|
Littleton Colorado wasn't the first to feel the horror
and disbelief...Kids killed kids at Columbine High while
others remembered pain and grief.
Yes parents of Jonesnoro Arkansas and Pearl Mississippi too...
know of too well the horrific pain! Oh America, what must we do?
Yes I am crying tears of sorrow and the whole world is crying too.
For when we lose our children in school, we wonder how can this be true!
It's past time that we wake up! We've been sleeping oh too long.
School grounds stained with blood... Where did America go wrong?
How can we end this nightmare? Will kids put the guns down? Who is
to blame for this tragedy? For blood shed on sacred grounds?
Yes some scream to take away the guns. But is that the answer today?
For if kids want to kill other kids, THey'll seach until they find a way.
Tonight and in nights to come, we should look into our past...
Columbine High wasn't our first, dear Lord, but can it be our last?
The last time that a kid has to die because another kid is in pain.
Yes it's our responsibility as Americans to rid the schools of each blood stain.
For whenever kids kill other kids, each of us feel the sorrow!
But do we feel the pain enough to try, to prevent this from
happening tomorrow???
