Brian Confidential
- Sadly, travelling so much means the boys don't get to spend a lot of time with their families. "I sent my mum some flowers the other day - just for being my mum, really," says Bri. And his gratitude didn't stop there - he wrote the track Perfect Fan in her honor.
- He thinks the Spice Girls played a big part in the boys' success back in America. "They brought pop back to the US," he says. "They started getting successful and everybody in America turned around and said, "OK, where are the great homegrown acts?"
- Brian's never been a stranger to hoards of screaming girls - even when he sang in his high school's talent contest, the place was packed full of them!
- We all know Brian's a bit of a joker, but appearing in public dressed only in a nappy? There must be some mistake! "It was for Halloween, which is always massive in the States," he reveals. "I dressed up as a Japanese sumo wrestler by wrapping a towel around my waist and between my legs. It was like one big nappy! It was so funny!"
- Brian's motor is one of his most prized possessions - so much so that he washes it at least one a week!
- Even though Brian and his best band mate Nick are totally inseparable, the do occasionally fall out. Don’t worry though, cause they never come to blows - they just settle it with a quick game of basketball.
- There's one surefire way to tell if Bri's got the hots for you - he reckons he completely clams up when he's with someone he really fancies.
- You won't fund Brian sitting at home on New Years Eve - he's got big plans to celebrate the Millennium. "I'd love to be playing in front of half a million people, and have the proceeds go to five charities we'd individually donate to - that'd be great!"
- If Brian ever gets bored of making music, he'd love to end up on the silver screen. He fancies himself as a bit of a thespian and sees himself starring in a wacky Jim Carrey style comedy.
- Brian's always been a bit of a performer - even from a very early age. His first public performance was at the age of six, when he sang a solo in church in front of 1,500 people.
- Not surprisingly, Brian loves getting the chance to travel abroad, and reckons Australia is one of his favorite countries - he loves playing volleyball on the clean, white beaches there. He has to watch out though - Brian's fair skin makes him extremely prone to sunburn.
- Somebody call Carol Smillie! When it comes to slapping on a bit of gloss or putting up shelves, Brian's definitely not your man! "I love my house, but I hate decorating it," he complains. "I'll be glad when it's all finished!"
