The Secrets Trilogy: Part 1 - Constant Fear

Chapter 11

Abigail had a fabulous time at the barbecue that afternoon. She got a sense who paid attention the most since Brian was the only one that recognized her from the interview and finally understood why Kevin was so distracted after that interview. He was happy for Kevin because it looked like he had finally met someone that fully appreciated him for the person he was, not for what he did.

Kevin was having a real problem watching Abigail walk around in her bathing suit all afternoon, and she played on the fact. Images from that morning wouldn’t leave his mind, so Kevin spent a great deal of the afternoon in the pool trying to hide the fact that he was so aroused. Now that he’d been with Abigail, he couldn’t get enough.

When Abigail and Kevin were the only ones left in the pool, she swam over to Kevin and said, “You sure are keeping your distance.” But as soon as she pressed herself up against Kevin to give him a hug, she fully understood. “We all ready did it twice this morning.” Abigail said as she inadvertently teased Kevin.

“Watching you walk around in that bathing suit is proving to be too much for me to handle.” Kevin said as he broke free from Abigail’s vise and swam away.

Abigail was still having problems judging some of Kevin’s moods and she almost got the feeling that Kevin was upset with her. She swam after him and sat down beside him on the pool steps. “I’m sorry. Do you want me do get changed?” Abigail asked, thinking that it wasn’t a good idea to flirt openly when they were with others.

“I’m not upset with you Abigail. Just struggling not to take you here and now. Don’t change anything you do, please. I just have to learn how to deal with having a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend.” Kevin said as he put his arm around Abigail’s waist and pulled her closer to him.

“Don’t you think it’s time to get dried off anyways?” Abigail said as she noticed how red her skin was getting from spending several hours in the sun.

“Could you do me a favor and grab me a towel?” Kevin asked. He knew the guys would make a big deal out of the state he was in and he didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of Abigail like that. They were finally making progress in their relationship and he didn’t want to scare her off with their unruly behavior.

As soon as they were dried off, Kevin got comfortable on a chaise lounge and invited Abigail to sit between his legs. She couldn’t resist teasing Kevin a little as she laid back and tried to get comfortable; she laughed when she heard Kevin’s low moan.

Both AJ and Brian went into the house and they took the opportunity to comment on Kevin and Abigail. “Abigail seems nice. What’s your take on her?” AJ asked as he grabbed himself another beer out of the fridge and offered one to Brian.

“I like her. Kevin sure seems crazy about her. I hope this one lasts. Kevin really is at his best when he’s in a serious relationship.” Brian said.

“Yeah, so do I. Kevin can be a real grouch when he’s not getting any.” AJ kidded.

“Who says he’s getting any? They haven’t been dating that long you know.” Brian said. He really was oblivious to the looks Abigail and Kevin had been exchanging all afternoon. Unlike AJ, Brian was a true romantic and was a strong believer in waiting until a couple was married.

“Let’s just say it’s a hunch I have.” AJ said as he walked away shaking his head. ‘Brian couldn’t recognize sexual tension if it hit him in the head.’ AJ said to himself as he sat down across from Kevin. He took the opportunity to talk to Kevin while he was alone. “Where did Abigail go?” AJ asked.

“She was starting to burn, so she went inside to get changed.” Kevin replied.

“She seems really nice Kevin. I hope this one works out for you.” AJ said.

“Thanks man. So do I. She’s pretty special.” Kevin replied with a smile.

“You know, you two could always sneak off to one of the bedrooms if you needed a little time alone.” AJ said, fully expecting to get a reaction out of Kevin.

“Has it been that obvious?” Kevin said as he freely readjusted himself.

“Well, you know I can pick up on sexual tension a mile away. It’s an art I’ve perfected over the years.” AJ said.

“Normally I’m pretty good at controlling myself, but she just drives me crazy.” Kevin admitted openly.

AJ was a little shocked because Kevin had never talked this openly with him before. “Why don’t you go and find her.” AJ encouraged.

“I might just have to do that.” Kevin said as he got up and walked into the house. He grabbed his bag and headed upstairs where he spotted a bedroom door closed and knocked on it. “You in there Abi?”

“What, couldn’t stand being apart from me for just a couple of minutes.” Abigail said as she opened the bedroom door.

“I can’t take it anymore Abigail.” Kevin said as he entered the room and locked the door where he proceeded by pushing her up against the door so she could feel how aroused he was.

“What have I started?” Abigail said as she laughed and dropped to her knees without any hesitation. She pulled Kevin’s trunks down and took this throbbing member in her hands.

“You don’t need to do that.” Kevin said, remembering how uncomfortable she was with fellatio that morning.

“Just shut up and enjoy it.” Abigail said as she took Kevin in her mouth. She wanted to make Kevin happy.

For the next couple of minutes, Kevin couldn’t believe how good Abigail was making him feel. ‘God, where did she learn to do that?’ Kevin said to himself as she quickly flicked her tongue over the head of his penis. When she started twisting the head with her hand and mouth, Kevin grabbed Abigail’s head as he lost all control. “My god Abigail. Where did you learn how to do that?” Kevin said as he leaned against the door for support.

“My ex liked it done a particular way. He made me practice until I got it right.” Abigail said, instantly regretting what she revealed. She never intended on telling Kevin anything about Frank.

Kevin became concerned when he heard what Abigail had just said. “He didn’t mistreat you in any way did he?” Kevin asked as he tried to get Abigail to look him in the eye. It made him feel sick to his stomach at the thought of someone hurting his Abigail.

“No, not at all. Frank would have never done that.” Abigail answered honestly.

“So Frank was his name. That’s the first time you’ve ever mentioned him by name. Why did mentioning his name upset you?” Kevin asked.

“Look, I really don’t want to talk about him. I’m with you now. He’s history.” Abigail said as she got up and started pacing the room. She didn’t realize that saying Frank’s name would upset her so much. She had been successfully keeping Frank in the past, and talking about him with Kevin was something that she wasn’t prepared for. “Can we just go back downstairs and join everyone else?” Abigail said. She could see all the questions going through Kevin’s mind, and she couldn’t answer them for him.

“Abigail. I hope you know you can talk to me about anything.” Kevin said as he took Abigail in his arms and tried to comfort her. It worried him that she had become so visibly upset at the mention of his name. Even though she had denied it, he feared this Frank guy had hurt her.

“I’ll be fine Kevin. I’ll meet you downstairs.” Abigail said, as she broke free of Kevin’s arms and fled downstairs needing to put some distance between them. Kevin was getting too close for comfort.

For the first time since Kevin had known Abigail, he sensed something unsettling had happened in her past. He wasn’t sure if he should just let her deal with it on her own, or try to convince her to talk to him about it. He decided it was probably best not to force her to talk about her past, but he couldn’t curb the concern he suddenly felt. He took a few minutes to collect his thoughts and went downstairs in search of Abigail.
