For the next couple of weeks, things did improve between Abigail and Kevin, but Abigail could still sense that something was off kilter, but was afraid to push Kevin for more details. He had been more attentive and even though he was still spending quite a few evenings in his tour bus, she knew better than to interfere. If the group was getting pressure from their record label or management to get another album recorded, then she didn’t want to put any additional pressure on Kevin. 

That afternoon, the group had a few interviews to do and a photo shoot, but they had the evening to themselves. Upon finding out that Kevin had the evening off, Jordyn decided to plan a romantic evening and informed Kevin that she expected him to be there. For once, Kevin stood up to Jordyn and began planning for a romantic evening with Abigail. He sensed that Abigail still wasn’t entirely happy with his behavior and the amount of time he’d been spending on his bus, and he truly wanted to make up for everything. Kevin had plans to spend the whole night alone with Abigail in their hotel suite and he wasn’t going to let anyone spoil her plans, especially Jordyn. He had convinced Abigail to visit the gym with him once he returned late that afternoon, because he wanted her out of the suite for at least half an hour so the hotel staff could come in and prepare the room. Kevin really wanted to go the extra mile, because he felt he had to do something to instill some confidence in their relationship again. 

“Hello. Kevin?" AJ said from the back of the van.  "What planet are you on?” he continued after he got Kevin's attention.

“Sorry J, what’s up?” Kevin said, finally focusing his attention on the other four individuals in the van. 

“Howie and I were gonna hit a few clubs tonight. You and Abi interested in coming with us?” AJ asked. 

“Sorry man. Not tonight. I have big plans.” Kevin replied. 

“Cool. Have fun and don’t do anything I wouldn’t.” AJ said with a laugh. 

“Not that I want to find out, but I bet I could take you on.” Kevin kidded as the van pulled up in front of the hotel. 

“That’s the most hilarious thing I’ve ever heard Kev. You and I both know you wouldn’t be able to keep up with me.” AJ said. 

“You know this for a fact then AJ?” Nick kidded, not able to let that one slide by. 

“Bite me Nicky boy.” AJ said as he jumped out of the van and took off after Nick. 

“Kids.” Kevin said as he stood there shaking his head. “See you guys tomorrow.” He said as he headed into the hotel and left Howie and Brian standing there watching AJ chase Nick. 

Abigail was curled up in bed reading a book when Kevin entered the room. “Hey there gorgeous. Don’t you look comfortable?” Kevin said as he made his way across the room and sat down beside her on the bed. 

“I think the air conditioning is working overtime. I’m been freezing my butt off in here all afternoon.” Abigail said as she pulled the blanket closer to her body. 

“Yeah, it is a little chilly in here. What do you say we go for that workout now? That will warm you up.” Kevin said. 

“I know something else that will warm me up.” Abigail said, as she looked at Kevin with one raised eyebrow. She didn’t understand why Kevin was so insistent that they work out. She had hoped they’d be getting enough of a workout that night in bed. 

“I promise you that will come later. Right now, I need to get my workout in for the day and it will go by much faster if I can stare at your sexy body.” Kevin said. 

“You now, we don’t have to go to the gym for you to stare at my body.” Abigail said, continuing to flirt with Kevin. 

“I know. But what happened to you teasing me and wanting to drive me crazy while I'm working out?” Kevin said.  

“That’s a good point. Just don’t complain if half way through your workout you can’t handle it anymore.” Abigail said as she got out of bed and walked over to her suitcase. Having Kevin insist she come with him was like the good old days. They always used to work out together in the beginning of the tour. She smiled to herself as she started to change in front of Kevin. There was no harm in getting the teasing started a little early she thought to herself. 

“Jesus Abi. We’re never going to make it to the gym if you’re gonna be doing that.” Kevin said as he felt himself harden immediately. It had been more than a week since he’d been with Abigail, and his body was doing a good job of reminding him of that fact.  

“Just say the word, and we can stay here and get a different kind of workout.” Abigail teased further. 

“Get dressed smart ass.” Kevin said as he reached for his own workout clothes and quickly changed. 

“I see you’re having a problem all ready.” Abigail said as she walked up behind Kevin and cupped his erection in her hand. 

“I’m always having a problem as far as you’re concerned.” Kevin said as she quickly removed her hand and he pulled up his shorts. “Come on. Let’s get this over with.” Kevin said as she took Abigail by the hand and practically dragged her out of the suite.  

It was no surprise that Kevin had an extremely difficult time focusing throughout his workout. Abigail had intentionally worn the most provocative outfit that she could find. He could easily see down her halter-top when she bent over and her spandex shorts showed off her well-defined bottom. He was glad there was no one else in the gym, because there was no way he would want another man looking at her like he had been for the last half an hour. 

Abigail stopped the treadmill when she had reached 30 minutes and said, “Ok, that’s enough for me. You ready to go back up?” Abigail said. 

“I wanted to do a few more sets. Could you spot me?” Kevin asked. He had to keep Abigail occupied until his pager went off, indicating that the hotel staff had their room prepared to his specifications. 

“You’ve got more energy than usual tonight. Aren’t you going to save some of that energy for later?” Abigail asked as she straddled the bench that Kevin was seated on. 

“Don’t worry about that. I’ll have plenty of energy for you tonight.” Kevin said as he sat up. There were only a few inches separating them now. He could take her right there and then, and she knew it. 

“We could either stay down here and continue to torture each other, or we can go back upstairs and do something about it.” Abigail said as she lifted Kevin’s t-shirt and let her hands move across Kevin’s slick chest. 

Abigail definitely knew which buttons to press, that’s for sure. “Just a few more sets. Work with me here Abi.” Kevin said as he stood up and moved on to the next machine. 

“You gonna be a tease like this all night?” Abigail asked as she followed Kevin to the next machine and stood at one end. 

“You’ll eventually get what you want.” Kevin said with a wink. 

“I always get what I want as far as that’s concerned.” Abigail replied confidently. 

“That is true.” Kevin said as he started laughing.

A short while later, Kevin and Abigail were finally on their way back up to their room. Kevin’s pager finally went off twenty minutes later and now that they were alone in the elevator, Abigail had her back turned to Kevin and was slowly grinding her bottom against Kevin’s hardness. He wasn’t sure he could wait until after dinner for some relief as Kevin hadn’t been this aroused in sometime. In fact, he had been inadvertently avoiding Abigail ever since his crooked affair with Jordyn commenced. It wasn’t that he wasn’t attracted to Abigail anymore or that he didn’t want to be with her, he just felt guilty about the corner he had been backed into. And making love to Abigail, reminded him of his current situation. But tonight, he was determined to keep Jordyn out of their bed. His heart ached because he loved Abigail so much and he was determined to put all of that into his lovemaking that night. 

Kevin stopped at the hotel room door and turned to Abigail. “I know I’ve been neglecting you recently, so I wanted to make this a special evening. Tonight is all about you Abi. I love you.” Kevin said. Then he turned and unlocked the door and held it open so Abigail could enter. 

Abigail smiled as she entered the hotel suite. The lights were dimmed and candles were placed randomly around the suite, giving it a romantic feeling. She turned around to face Kevin when she heard the door close behind them. “You didn’t have to do all of this.” Abigail said. 

“Yes I did. I never want you to forget how much I love you.” Kevin said as he stepped forward and pulled Abigail into his arms. 

“Thank-you Kevin. I love you to.” Abigail said as she rested her head against Kevin’s chest. She never really doubted Kevin’s love, but she had become a little unsettled over the past couple weeks. She knew something was bothering Kevin, but he always insisted that everything was fine. But tonight, she was going to push all those worries to one side. Tonight she had Kevin’s full attention and she planned on taking advantage of that. 

It was obvious to Kevin that Abigail just wanted to be held, as she stood there in his arms. He decided it was best to extinguish his arousal for the time being and focus his full attention on pampering Abigail.

As soon as they finished dinner, Kevin disappeared into the bedroom for a split second and returned with an envelope in his hand. He sat down in his chair and motioned for Abigail to join him. She slowly rose from her chair and happily took her place on Kevin’s lap. “You know, tonight is more than enough Kevin.” Abigail said, sensing Kevin had another surprise in store for her. 

“I don’t feel like I could ever do enough for you, so you’ll just have to get used to me spoiling you.” Kevin said as he handed her the envelope. 

Abigail looked at Kevin apprehensively before she opened the envelope. She slowly removed the contents of the envelope and knew right away that they were plane tickets and she instantly knew that Kevin had planned a vacation for the 5-day break they had in the tour, the only thing that remained a mystery now was the destination. 

“Before you open it, try and figure out where we’ll be going.” Kevin said as he settled his hands on top of Abigail’s to prevent her from opening the small folder that held the plane tickets. 

“I have no idea Kevin. There are too many possible places.” Abigail replied. 

“Think back to a conversation we had during our hiatus. Where did you tell me was the one place you would love to go?” Kevin asked. He smiled as he watched her think back and when the realization hit her. 

“Hawaii?” Abigail asked with excitement in her voice. 

“Open it up and find out.” Kevin said with a broad smile. 

Abigail slowly opened the folder and screamed when she realized she was correct. She had always dreamt of going to Hawaii with Kevin, but she never really expected it to become reality. “You’ve outdone yourself Kevin. I love you!” Abigail said as she threw her arms around Kevin’s neck. 

“I assume you like it then.” Kevin said. 

“Like it? Love it is more accurate. I just can’t believe you did this.” Abigail expressed. 

“I know being on the road is taking its toll, so I wanted to get away from it all for a couple days. I’d prefer to take you down there for a couple weeks, but 4 days is better than nothing.” Kevin said. 

“I’ll take whatever I can get with you.” Abigail said as she snaked her arms around Kevin’s neck and moved in to kiss him. 

“What do you say we continue this in the bedroom?” Kevin asked as he broke the kiss. 

“I’m surprised you waited this long. I thought for sure that I was in for it when we got back up to the room.” Abigail said as she stood up and took Kevin’s hand in her own. 

“Well, ya know, it wasn’t easy.” Kevin kidded as he led Abigail into the bedroom. 

For the remainder of the night, Kevin and Abigail reconnected on a totally different level. Jordyn wasn’t clouding Kevin’s thoughts and Abigail was relieved to see that things had returned to normal. She was determined to keep things this way.
