June 2007
After making a horrific mistake, Kevin wakes
one morning and instinctively knows that his wife Sierra has left
him. When he roles over to look at her side of the bed, which had
remained untouched throughout the night, Kevin finds a pink
colored book leaning against her pillow. When Kevin picks up the
book, a single sheet of paper falls out with Sierra’s beautiful
handwriting scrawled across the page.
My dearest
Kevin,
I never
imagined when I started this diary that I’d still be writing
about our life together fifteen years later or that you would be
reading it. Within the pages of this diary, you’ll find the
story of our life from the day we met until earlier this morning.
I don’t hate you Kevin and please know that I will always love
you, but our future is now in your hands. It’s my hope that
you’ll come to understand just how much you’ve come to mean to
me over the years. You’ve come to be more than just a friend, a
lover, a father to our children or a husband. You are my soul mate
and I’m convinced you’re the only one for me and I know at one
time you felt the same way.
I leave the
decision in your hands Kevin. If you read every word written in
this diary, you’ll know where to find us. We’ll be there
waiting for you if you decide to come back to us. I pray we’re
enough for you and we can find our way back into your heart.
Yours truly,
Sierra
