A Lost Past - Part 15
2 Months Later
Laura rolled over in bed, happy to see Kevin still sleeping soundly beside her. The
past week had been their best week together, cause all the guys were off. For the first
time since they had been seeing each other, Laura was at Kevin's apartment, which he
shared with Brian and Howie. And what made Laura even happier, was the fact, that they
still had 2 months off. Well, kinda. They were working on their next album, but they were
able to work on that nine to five, and she had Kevin all to herself in the evenings and
weekends. For once it felt like she was in a normal relationship.
Kevin rolled over almost 2 hours later, and when he looked at the clock it said 10 'clock.
God he couldn't remember the last time he got that much sleep. He used to sleep till that
time all the time, but not without being up half the night. He moved closer to Laura and
propped himself up on the bed with one hand and lightly rested his hand on Laura's
abdomen. She was starting to show a little bit now that she was in her fourth month of
pregnancy. And Kevin couldn't be happier. He realized that Laura was having a tougher time
with it. The first few months were really rough, but it seemed like it was getting easier
lately. At least she wasn't running to the washroom every morning to be sick.
Laura started to wake up again, and just opened her eyes to see Kevin looking down at her.
"Hey beautiful. How ya feelin this morning." Kevin said as he leaned in to give
Laura a quick kiss.
"Not to bad gorgeous. How about yourself." Laura said as she put her arms around
Kevin's neck and brought him closer for longer more passionate kiss.
"Better now that you are awake. So what do you want to do today? Remember I told you
we could do anything you wanted to do today." Kevin said smiling.
"Well, I know I have to go get some clothes pronto. I don't fit into anything but
jogging pants anymore. And quite honestly I am getting sick of it. But I know you don't
like shopping, so I will do that on Monday, when you are working on the album. So
why don't we go to Walt Disney World Today, Mr. tour guide." Laura joked with Kevin.
Remembering that he told her that he
used to be a tour guide at the park before the guys made it big.
"Ha Ha, very funny. But ya that sounds like a good idea. Especially if you say you
haven't been there since you were 11 years old. The place I am sure will look totally
different to you. There is so much new stuff to see. In fact there is new stuff for me to
see. I wouldn't mind checking out Animal Kingdom if that is alright with you." Kevin
said while lightly running his fingers through Laura's long brown hair.
"Yah, Animal Kingdom sounds like fun. " Laura said as she threw the covers over
in Kevin's face. "I get the shower first." Laura said as she jumped out of bed.
Kevin ran after her and said, "Oh no you don't." But she was too quick, before
he made it to the washroom, she was already in there and had the door locked. "Man,
she's no fun." Kevin mumbled under his breath.
"I heard that Richardson." Laura yelled from the bathroom.
So while he was waiting for Laura to finish in the washroom, Kevin decided to make Laura
some breakfast. Since the doctors really stressed how important it was that she started
the day off with a nutritious breakfast.
When Laura was finished in the washroom half an hour later, she followed the wonderful
smells coming from the kitchen. When she walked up to the Kitchen table she saw, scrambled
eggs, toast, orange juice, milk and home fries. Then she entered the kitchen and snuck up
behind Kevin and put her arms around his waist and said, "Everything looks and smells
wonderful. You've been holding out on me, I had no idea you could cook."
"Well, you still have a lot of things to learn about me now don't you." Kevin
said as he turned around and put his arm around Laura's shoulders. He leaded her to the
table and pulled out on of the chairs for her so she could sit down. "Now dig
in." Kevin said while taking the seat beside her.
"You are such a sweetheart you know
that don't you Kevin. Not very many guys would do this for a girl." Laura said while
putting some eggs on her plate.
"I just hope everything is okay." Kevin said.
They sat there in silence while they piled their plates with food. Laura started with the
scrambled eggs, and thought that it was a good start. They were really fluffy eggs. Her
eggs never turned out this fluffy she thought to herself. "Okay, I think you are the
designated scrambler of eggs in this relationship. These eggs are amazing." Laura
said. Next she put a few home fries in her mouth, but when she bit into them, all you
could here was crunch, crunch, crunch. "Ah, Kevin the potatoes are still raw."
Laura said while laughing.
"How can they be raw." Kevin said with a confused look on his face. "I made
sure they were browned."
Laura tried to wipe the smile off her face, and said "Kevin, when doing potatoes like
this you either have to boil the potatoes before, or you have to cook them over low heat
for quite some time."
"Oh." Kevin said while looking down at his plate. He looked really upset at
himself.
Laura got up from her seat and went over to Kevin, "It's okay sweetie, it
really is. You wanna know what is really funny though. I did the exact same thing the
first time I tried to make them. So you learn some mistakes the hard way." Laura said
trying to cheer Kevin up, but it was true. She cooked almost an identical breakfast for
her ex and she did the same thing.
Kevin looked up at her, with a smile on his face. "Did you honestly do the exact same
thing." Kevin asked.
"Yes I did, I swore I would never tell anyone that I did it, but it is so funny that
we did the exact same thing." Laura said. All Kevin could do was laugh
uncontrollably. "Hey Richardson, it's not that funny." Laura said as she smacked
Kevin with the towel that was beside him.
So the two sat there and finished breakfast over light conversation, once Kevin calmed
himself down. When they were finished, Kevin went to go take a shower and Laura went to
the kitchen to try and clean up the huge mess Kevin left in there. "They try so hard
to do something like this, but man can they ever make a huge mess." Laura said under
her breath.
