Chapter 2
As Denise McLean walked through the back door of the plane, she was greeted by five guys sitting talking amongst themselves.
"Hi Mom," AJ McLean said when he saw her enter the closed off area, "did you get them settled in?"
"Yeah, Honey," she smiled and said, "boy are those two girls in for one big surprise!"
"Why," Nick asked.
"Because they were on their way to see you guys in concert," she replied.
"They were flying all the way from Cincinnati just to see us in concert?" AJ asked in disbelief.
"Yep," Denise explained, "until they got up to the registration desk with their tickets and they were told that they had overbooked the flight."
"Hmmm, maybe it was fate that they were at that very place while Denise was walking by and just happened to hear them," Howie said to the guys.
"Fate?!" Nick scoffed, "Whatever, it was just coincidence."
"Who knows Nick," Brian said to his skeptical friend, "things do happen for a reason."
"Well," Nick said as he went over to the curtains that were separating them from the rest of the plane, hoping to get a glimpse of the two girls, "I'll believe it when I see it."
At the very moment that he peeked through the curtain, Candace just happened to see Candace stand up to get something out of the overhead compartment. She had a huge smile on her face and was laughing at something that Terah had just said. Nick's mouth dropped open.
Slowly, Nick turned around to face his friends. The moment that Brian saw Nick's face, he knew.
"Let me guess," Brian laughed, "fate is looking more and more likely, huh?"
Nick just stood there in awe. Brian quickly stood up to see what was actually making his best friend speechless. As soon as Brian looked through the curtain, he saw her.
"Brian," Nick said grabbing his friend by the arm, "Ya gotta help me."
"Whoa... What?" Brian shrieked with a scared look.
The other guys just laughed because they knew that the two were probably going to embarrass themselves, but they really didn't mind, cause it usually meant they would get a really good laugh out of them.
Denise just rolled her eyes and said to Nick and Brian, "All I ask is that the two of you behave yourselves and do not plague our guests."
"Don't worry Denise," Nick said in the way that he always did when he was up to something, "it's all good!"
Patting him on the back, she just smiled and replied, "Sweetie, that is what I am afraid of."
After giving Brian a look that said, Try to control him, she made her way to her seat.
Brian smiled at her, while contemplating their plan. Kevin and Howie decided to head up to the front of the plane, hopefully getting a front row seat for what was about to happen. AJ followed closely behind. Kevin and Howie took their seats right behind the two girls, while AJ was right behind them.
"OK," Brian said to Nick once they were all seated, "here is the plan..."
