Love With A Price - Chapter 40
Christy was the first one to wake up the next morning, so
she quietly got out of bed and went to look after Sheba.
Christy wanted to let Kevin sleep in that morning. She would start to get
some things organized that morning while he was asleep.
Kevin finally woke up at 11am and padded out of the bedroom
only wearing boxer briefs. “Morning sleepy head. Do you want some coffee?”
Christy asked as she put her book down.
“How long have you been up?” Kevin asked.
“Since eight-thirty this morning.” Christy replied.
“I have no idea how you do it Christy. It’s a struggle
for me to get up anytime before ten.” Kevin said as he walked into the kitchen
to pour himself a cup of coffee.
“I know that, so that’s why I just let you sleep.”
Christy said.
“Have you had any breakfast yet?” Kevin asked.
“Not really. I just had some yogurt.” Christy replied.
“Would you like an omelet for breakfast?” Kevin asked.
“I’d love an omelet. Let me come and help you.”
Christy said as she got up off the couch.
“No you don’t. You stay there and read your book. It
looks like you’ve already been busy this morning, so let me do this for
you.” Kevin said from the kitchen.
“I like the sounds of that.” Christy said as she sat
back down again. She positioned herself so she could watch Kevin in the kitchen.
After a few minutes, Christy just couldn’t sit there anymore. She had to be
close to Kevin. She quietly walked up behind him and put her arms around his
waist as she rested her head on his back.
“You were supposed to relax.” Kevin said.
“I had to come over and get a good morning kiss from my
handsome boyfriend.” Christy said.
“Oh I think I can take care of that.” Kevin said as he turned around and covered Christy’s lips with his own. Kevin broke the kiss after a short while and pulled Christy close to him. Kevin knew at that moment that he couldn’t wait one month to know if Christy would be his wife. Kevin decided that he would stop by to talk to Brian at some point that afternoon and maybe the two of them could find a place where Kevin could find an outstanding engagement ring for Christy.
“I’m just thinking about how much I love you.” Kevin
said as he lightly kissed Christy again.
Christy smiled up at Kevin and said, “I love you too.”
“You’re omelet is almost ready. Why don’t you just
sit your cute little butt down at the table and I’ll bring it over to you.”
Kevin said as he lightly patted Christy’s bottom.
“Why don’t you make yours and then we can sit down and
eat together.” Christy suggested.
“So what did you want to do today?” Kevin asked as he
made his own breakfast.
“Why don’t we see what the others are doing? Maybe we
can go do some sight seeing.” Christy said.
“Good idea.” Kevin said, just as there was a light
knocking at the door. Christy got up to answer the door, to find Brian and
LeighAnn standing there.
“Kevin, we have visitors. You may want to go put some
clothes on.” Christy said.
“Let me guess, he’s just getting out of bed.” Brian
said as he saw Kevin walk towards the bedroom.
“I think it’s safe now. Come on in guys.” Christy
said as she let Brian and LeighAnn in.
“What are you guys up to today?” Brian asked as he
stepped into the apartment.
“We were actually just going to call you guys and ask you
the same question.” Kevin said as he walked out of the bedroom fully clothed.
“Well LeighAnn forgot to pack a few things so we were
going to head over to the mall. Do you guys want to come along?” Brian said.
“What are the other guys doing?” Kevin asked as he went
back to making his breakfast.
“I assume Howie and AJ are still sleeping since they went
out clubbing last night and Nick is just gonna hang around here. He says he’s
not feeling too well.” Brian replied.
“What do you say then Christy? I’m sure you’re up for
some shopping.” Kevin said.
“You know me too well.” Christy said.
“Can you guys be ready in an hour?” Brian asked.
“I think we can. Can you guys look after booking the
van?” Kevin asked.
“Already done. We’ll meet you guys outside around
12:30.” Brian said as they left the apartment.
“I think we can finally sit down and eat.” Kevin said as he sat down at the table.
