Barby is a very talented musician. She plays many different instruments: the congas, guitar, accordion and piano. During the Streetlife-time she even used to play the drums once in a while. Nowadays she plays the congas at most of the concerts. On top of that, she has a beautiful singing voice. Barby's best known songs include "She's Crazy", "Break Free", "Like a Queen", "Baby Smile" and the beautiful ballad "Sweetest Angel".

When she was only fourteen years old she wrote her first song "Papa cool". This song (from the album "New world") contains many autobiographical elements and describes everyday family-life on the houseboat. She sings it together with Angelo, Maite and Paddy.

In addition to singing, Barby also loves to dance. She is a very accomplished ballerina. She first performed as a dancer at age seven.

She is also very talented as a clothing-designer. She designs most of the clothes the family wear on stage. Last but not least, she is a very talented painter. She paints beautiful water colors. One of her best known paintings is that of a ballerina, a reproduction of which can be bought at the concerts.
