Maite Star Kelly

Maite was born in Berlin and is the only one of the nine band members who was born in Germany. Talented Maite plays a lot of instruments including the congas and tambourine. Nowadays she usually plays the bass-guitar at the concerts.

Of course Maite sings as well. She did lead vocals on the hit singles "Roses of Red", "Every Baby" and "When the boys come into town". Other songs from Maite "Stars fall from heaven", which she sings together with Patricia, "I'll send you a letter", a rock song she does together with Paddy, and "Wish I were a swallow", one of the tracks from their album "Growin' up".

On stage Maite is the one who can't keep still for a second. She keeps on dancing and jumping, no matter what. Maite has a lot of hobbies, in which one of them is cooking for the family. Maite loves cooking and she's very good at it too. The whole family loves Maite's pizza. She also loves swimming, horseback riding and reading. She loves mysteries & her favorite author is Agatha Christie.

Although Maite hasn't got the figure of a model, she doesn't have a problem with that. Infact, her confidence in herself shines through at every performance. In one of the songs ("Papa cool" from the album "New world") she sings: "Papa and Maite are the fattest, so flatter me, don't worry, I've got no complexy. Papa and Maite are the two fatties. If you've got it you flaunt it like Humpty Dumpty."
