Games in the Shop
This is my repair log. This information may be useful to you if you need to repair one of your games.
Return of the Jedi - REPAIR LOG
ORIGINAL CONDITION:
Marquee would light up, No game sounds, would not coin up, no picture.
REPAIR STEPS:
- Tried to buy an owners manual off eBay, ended up buying a copy from winning bidder.
- Tested all fuses - all ok
- Since marquee was getting power rulled out power supply problem
- Tested for power to board - parts of board were not getting power
- Checked contacts to be sure they were connecting correctly - all ok
- Noticed connection points on board looked to have been burned out at one time
- Located another board to try -new board produced garbage on screen - monitor is ok came from an old Dig Dug
- Looked at original board again and saw two contacts that were repaired had been soldered together
- Took a screw driver and scratched a space between them
- GAME WORKED
CURRENT STATUS:
Playes great
Space Invaders Deluxe - REPAIR LOG
ORIGINAL CONDITION:
Marquee would light up, has game sounds, will coin up, no picture.
REPAIR STEPS:
- In its original condition the problem seems to be in the monitor
- By visual scan I noticed a wire that is coming off the side of the monitor is disconnected from some kind of coil.
- Something has burned out here.
- My effort at this point is to find out if this is some kind of fuse or something else?
