*ok this is a review for my boss has aids. which can be found on mp3.com. feel free to email this guy. Very rarely do I lower myself to t he level of insulting a fellow artist, but I honestly can't find anything to qualify your sonic excretion as anything resembling art. Your blatant homophobia "Die Faggot Die" mentality has absolutely no room claiming to be anything resembling punk. Perhaps you should either look towards a sexual relationship with a real live woman to get rid of some of your angst, or perhaps even confront your repressed homosexual tendencies. I am very curious as to whether I should decipher your ramblings and see if MP3.COM staff has any idea what their self-expression resources are being used on "I don't like you anyway, you have aids, I will kill you anyway, Die Faggot Die..." Perhaps you should re-evaluate whaat your message is. from: aeravnos@hotmail.com If you would like to see what kind of background I come from, making such comments regarding your 5 second soundbites of hate, check out www.mp3.com/taintedpurity

Mother originally by Danzig

This Mother. the first song on the tape, and it hits you hard. Its a lot shorter than the original version (maybe thats good). Well its got some heavy guitarin and some screemin so check it out if your into that sort of thing. To say the truth its not one of my personal favorites. We got sick of redoing this track and just stuck with this one.

guitars: rob, drums: rob, vocals: nick.

Destroy Before Reading originally by The Jesus lizard

One of my favorite songs on the album originally done by one of my favorite bands. this songs got a wicked guitar riff, solid drums, interesting vocals. Its basically good old fashioned ass kickin at its best. Only thing is i actually forgot about the little blues progression in the middle of the song, so we just left it out, you can hardly notice. Good song for the second take.

guitars: rob, drums: rob, vocals: nick.

Helmet In The Bush originally by Korn

This is what you get from a one man-band playing the drums, two guitar parts on one guitar and singin at the same time. Well i did them one at a time but its all done by one person, The song could have been better if i would have used 2 guitar tracks, instead i played both at the same time as much as i could.

guitars: rob, drums: rob, vocals: rob.

Riders On The Storm originally by The Doors

recorded it a room lit by only one candle, did it do the trick? you decide. I kinda like this song it sets a nice mood. drum track is nice and light, guitars nice, singin could use a tune up in this one though. The part i probably like most is the clever idea of taking the keyboard melodie that was in the background of the original and just plain its part on the guitar, download this song just to hear that.

guitars: rob, drums: rob, vocals: nick.

Ziggy Stardust originally by David Bowie

This is a rare one, its got Mike singin and playin the guitar. I like this song, its nice and clean. It may not be all too similar of the original version but its still a good song in its self. It only took one take.

guitars: mike, drums:rob, vocals:mike,nick

California Dreamin originally by The Mama.s And The Papa.s

they sang it i came home and did what i could with it. I don.t know the cords to this song and its very obvious once you start listening to it. so i didn.t put any cords in the song. The guest back-up vocals said its the first time she heard the song. i hear a lot of critisisim. But forget all that shit we all remember the flute solo in this song dont we???? well i did the best i could to put that solo on the guitar download this just to hear that solo part.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals:nick, megan

Don.t Fear The Reaper originally by Blue Oyster Cult

Well if your gonna cover a BOC song of course your gonna do don.t fear the reaper. This is a cool song. its got slut trying to harmonize! i like the guitars in this song. I don.t think we did too bad on this one. it took us long enough to get it done. your should download this just because i spent the time to learn all the goddamn solo parts. enjoy.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals: nick , rob

Sleeping Village originally by Black Sabbath

Who the fuck would think of covering this black sabbath song?? we did. its short and sweet, mello as all hell too. Not your typical sabbath song, but we used to play this song even before we though about doing this album. download this it wont take long.

guitars:rob, vocals:nick

The Figurehead originally by The Cure

The best part about this song is the drums. Unfortunately the mixing is kinda off and thats what you hear the most. I put the drums, bass, and guitar tracks together and had them sittin around for a while so i woke up one day and sang the song. just a little nasal in this one. strain your ears to hear it. check out the drums.

guitars:rob, bass:rob, drums:rob, vocals:rob

I.m A Slut originally by Howlin' Maggie

Remember this band? how bout the song? i doubt you do but if you do remember you probably remember that they weren.t a punk band. so why is it a punk song in our version??? well we couldn.t fit all the songs on a 60 min. tape if we did the song like the original version. howlin maggie is a pretty cool band, we did this cuz the whole slut thing.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals: nick, rob

EraserHead originally by Mace

another pittsburgh band covering a pittsburgh band.s song. no keyboards in this one though. maybe there should be. we have no idea how to really play this song. i partially tabbed the guitar out and we went along from there. this is another one take song, its also not one of my favorites. to mace sorry if your offended by this song.

guitars:rob,drums:rob, vocals:nick

4th Of July originally by SoundGarden

this has got some heavy guitars in it. interesting attempt at the wicked high solo part. i don.t remember recording this song. its not one of my favorites.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals:nick

DopeHat originally by Marilyn Manson

bitchin bass-line, good drum loop, some pissed off screaming. not too crazy about the effects on the vocals but you be the judge. i kinda like this one. check it out.

bass:rob, drums:rob , vocals:nick

MeanTime originally by Helmet

Some more of that old fashioned ass kickin. helmet is another kick ass band thats not around anymore. this song has an incredible simple and hard guitar riff. drums are a blazin, and the yelling blarin. and oh yeah the ass is kickin. download this song. one of my favorites. i think this only took 2 takes to finish.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals:nick

Purple Haze originally by Jimmi Hendrix

took me a good long time to learn the solo part of this song. im impressed how it turned out. one thing you may notice is there is no intro to this song like the original. remember the low-high note thing? i started the song off with the begining melody instead. somewhat of an accident realy. this is another one of my favorites on this album download this one.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals:rob

Diry Boots originally by Sonic Youth

pretty damn cool melloish song. if you liked the original version youll probably like this one. everything is pretty good in this song. one of my favorites. Download this song and be nostalgic of the good old grunge scene.

guitars:rob, drums:rob, vocals:nick

Psycho Killer originally by Talking Heads

another rare occurance, we got mike on the guitar for this track. this is a good one remember the french part in the original version??? well nick didnt want to sing it so check out the cool replacement for it (grind). download this song just to hear that.

guitar:mike, drums:rob,vocals:nick

School originally by Nirvana

hey kids get out your flannels. grunge is back. this is the only song on the album that we amped everthing before it went into the 4track so it sounds FILTHY, but its cool and rocks. download this one

guitar:rob,drums:rob, vocals:nick

Paint It Black originally by The Rolling Stones

this is an interesting version of the song. Nothing like the original. this is i guess the darker side of it . death metalish version of the song. kindof neat. check it out .replaced the cords with the singing melody .funny story about this song is i took the time to learn how to play sympathy for the devil which i though we were going to be covering and nick comes home and whips out a stack of tape inserts that have paint it black listed inside, ain.t that a bitch.

guitar:rob, drums:rob, vocals:nick

Kiss Off originally by The Violent Femmes

ahh once again. this song was never punk before?!?!?! but it is now. why again? same reason.... lack of time forced us to speed up the tempo and so we said fuck it were doin it up punk. we already had a version of this recorded too. but we changed to this one to fit on the album check it out soon you can download both versions.oh yeah the original had mike on guitar.

guitar:rob,drums:rob, vocals:nick, rob
