Jacob was born on 22 of January in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was attended to ordinary school until he starts to searching for "true" himself at sixteen (and this way gets some problems with parents) and was forced to start serious life. Moving to his own place at eighteen, Jacob spend three years as part-worker, until he find his serious work as nursing assistant at hospital...
Jacob's first interest in music started at fourteen, when he bought his first record "Restless and Wild" by "Accept". Two years later he played drums in his school and it was there, that he performed, with his friends, his first own rock band. Drums started to bore him soon, and Jacob tried his luck with another instrument, which was the guitar. After only three month of practice, he played as the guitarist in a rock band, and never released the guitar from his hands since.But true and serious career of Kjaer as musician starts only when his friend Henrik Brockmann introduced him to Andre, who immediately realize full potential of Jacob as guitarist, and soon invite him to "Royal Hunt"... When Jacob became a RH member, he found the place and the family he was so long looking for. It was, and is a refreshing, challenging, and exciting experience to be a member of this talented metal group. And for Kjaer, playing in this band is the perfect harmony of music and instrumental virtuosity.
