Q. "What the %#@* is "Royal Hunt"??!!
A. "Royal Hunt" - Denmark (ye know...
lil' country somewhere in Scandinavia) based band. They play in unique style, tho' most of
all calls them progressive metal, mostly because of line-up - keyboards, drums,
lead-guitar, bass-guitar and vocal.

Q. "OK... But what they sounds like? "Dream Theater"?
A. No way, pal. It's hard to believe, but "Royal Hunt" have very own style. Of course, I have a feeling that I hear some little parts before, but I think it's very common sense in today's music ;-) At some metal web-resource RH was positioned as "Stratovarius"-clone, but it's wrong too. Because of absence of second guitar RH sounds softer and melodic than songs of Timo Tolkki. Here is the Official Statement about "Royal Hunt" style :
"Royal Hunt" is an extraordinary rock group that electrifies you from the first moment you hear them. The core of the music derived by composer and keyboard wizard Andre Andersen`s classical background. Which, when combined with his affection for hard rock, gives the band a dynamic range of cadence and symmetry. Yielding their own brand of melodic progressive rock"
Got the idea? ;-)

Q. "Eah eah, sure. But what they SOUNDS like?"
A. Best way to experience something - try it (well, not in all cases..). Try to find RH songs on the Net, it's hard but not impossible. Because of some crap with ftp I cannot place .mp3 files here right now, but I will do as fast as I can...

Q. "Hell, alot to buy... OK, now tell me - who write and perform all this stuff?"
A. All songs written and composed by Andre Andersen (native Russian, now live in Denmark) - producer, composer and totally everything in "Royal Hunt". In the beginning line-up was simple - Andre on keyboards, Steen Mogensen on bass, Jacob Kjaer on guitars, Kenneth Olsen on drums and Henrik Brockmann on vocals. After release of second album, Henrik was changed with DC Cooper, and after third album Kenneth was unable to play drums anymore, and was changed with Allan Sorensen. So, current line-up looks like this : Andersen, Kjaer, Mogensen, Cooper, Sorensen.

Q. "Enough of history. I checked local musical store, where the hell RH cd's??"
A. If
ye live somewhere in Europe, you'll probably find cd's in any major store. If ye live in
Japan (damn, how I wish to move to Japan... ), I suppose ye find it very easy too, but if
ye a happy USA resident, you can face some troubles. Anyway, you always can find almost
all "Royal Hunt" albums on on-line musical stores - cdnow, rock.com and so on...

Q. "By the way.. Who the hell are you??!"
A. Well... I'm a ordinary "Royal Hunt" fan, just
like you'll soon be! :-) I can mark up some html tags and write some English words, so I
decide to pay up my tribute to beautiful music of Andre and guys. I'm doin' this all to
help new (and old ;-) fans getting more information about the band, because there isn't
many informative sources about RH on the Net...

A. Eah, your welcome. There's no fuckin' metal shows in my forgotten-by-god Russia. So I think I never see guys on stage, at least in Moscow... DAMN! :-\
Anyway, best of luck to new RH fans, and don't forget to sign my guestbook... ;-)
