Sheryl Crow Covers Guns N' Roses For Adam Sandler Film ( Allstar News)
Move over Luna, Sheryl
Crow will be covering Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O'
Mine" for Adam Sandler's next movie, Big Daddy. Luna
also recently covered the song for their upcoming album, The
Days of Our Nights, due May 25 on Elektra (allstar, March 10).
Crow's version will be on the Big Daddy
soundtrack, which is due on American/Sony Music Soundtrax on June
7. Sandler plays a man who adopts a six-year-old boy to impress
his ex-girlfriend, but ends up with more than he bargained for.
Jon Stewart, Rob Schneider, and Joey Lauren Adams
are also in the Sony Pictures film, which is directed by Dennis
Dugan, who also directed Sandler's Happy Gilmore. The
film, due June 25, teams Sandler with writer Tim Herlihy once
again -- Herlihy also wrote the Sandler- starring successes The
Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore,
and Billy Madison.
