Emissora Rural, 4945, verified after 15 months with QSL card and Photo. I reported the station
in december 1998! Max van Arnhem, the Netherlands, via HCDX, on April 1, 2000.
CHINA
Just received a form letter in Chinese from China Huayi Broadc Corp sent after 1 month, a form
letter in Chinese, in reply to my follow-up of a year old report in EE. Used one USD for rp.
No v/s, only station official stamp. The letter mentions following frequenciesfor CHBC: 4830,
4940, 6185 and 11590 kHz. The handwritten address on the envelope is:China Huauy Broadc. Corp,
P.O.Box 251, Fuzhou Fujian 350001, China Peoples Republic.So, nothing new in it, except the
spelling of Huauy, which might as well be a typo.(Jari Savolainen, Finland, via HCDX).

United Methodist Church, via DTK transmitter, 13685 kHz, verified today with a full data QSL
letter on "General Board of Global Ministries - The United Methodist Church" letterhead
stationary for the 0400 UTC December 9 and 10, 2000 test broadcasts on 13685kHz. Letter
opens with "Greetings from the new African Radio Project of the General Board...." and gives
the frequencies / times as of 1/1/2001. V/S: Donna Niemann - Program Producer. (Lee Silvi,

Guyana brodacasting Corporation, 3290 kHz, verified with a standard QSL letter after 1 follow

Voice Of Tibet via Kazakstan verified with a QSL card in 13 days. Sent 2 IRC's and a
pre-prepaired Qsl card via address in India. (Paul Bailey, Tasmania/Australia. 13/10/2000).
LIBERIA
ELWA, 4760 kHz, verified with a photocopied QSL (A5 size, uncorrectly cut) which has the
following text: "Station: R.Elwa Monrovia Liberia W Africa; Frequency : 4760 60 m shortwave;
Transmission power 1000 Watts (Stated also by ltrs 1 kilo watt = !!!) Time : 0600-0830 GMT and
1730-2200 GMT. We are delighted to verify your report on the reception of R ELWA. Your report
is correct. We are a christian radio station operating from Monrovia Liberia onthe west coast
of Africa. Thank you very much for your reception report. May God bless you mightly".The letter
was signed by Moses T. Nyantee, Station manager, and SIS only (hard-to-decipher so the spelling
may be uncorrect), Chief Technician. That QSL was received for a report on 23rd, 24th and 28th

MACEDONIA
I received a full detail QSL letter from Makedonska Radiodifuzija - Radio Skopje in less than
3 weeks. This station was always very black for reception reports. The letter was received
registered. It stated that they are now operating at 500 kW on 810 kHz and that they replace

MALAYSIA
RTM Kuching, 6050 kHz, verified after 4 weeks by personal and det.letter. V/s: Ramli Bin
Junaidi, Head of Programmes. Address: RTM Sarawak,Miri, Jalan Brighton, 98000 Miri, Sarawak,
Malaysia. Heard in Thailand.The local px from the Miri studio is daily from 1200-1400 local

PAKISTAN
I received a letter from v/s: Islam-ud Din Butt (no title) today in 2 months after
a follow-up report. I quote: "It is a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction for
us that the voice of the oppressed people of the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
has been heard in the United States". I could go on, and, in fact, it is an
interesting letter. Suffice to say, he states that their "English bulletin (sic)
of five minutes duration and daily English Commentary again for five minutes duration
from 1420-1430 UTC, at 5100 KH frequency". Their actual frequency back in April was
5101.23 kHz. He also returned my US$1.00. Address: (as printed)

A nice verification letter was received from ERTT R Monastir, Sousse. Acc.to the letter the
power is 100 kW, not 10. I heard them with own programming on 5th November at 2230. The v/s is
Adel Chabchoub, le Directeur de R Monastir and the address on the letterhead: Etablissement
de la Radiodiffusion Television Tunisienne, Direction Générale des Chaines Radio, Radio

Hospital Radio Pulse, verified with a friendly QSL letter after two weeks. It states that the 1
Watt Radica transmitter is located at the Hospital car park and is designed to cover 1 square
