Junko Moriya:  There’s so many good saxophone players in NY, but even among them Chris is very outstanding and very exceptional. His technique is complete, but with that he is so musical and original. He is a first-class soloist but also very great in ensemble-playing.
In Japan, Joshua Redman and Eric Alexander are maybe the two most famous young tenor stars. But among professional musicians (especially saxophone players) Chris is maybe the most noticed and attracted player. He’s the professionals’ favorite.
