MICHAEL W. SMITH
CREATION '94 - Agape Farm, Mt. Union, PA
On July 1, 1994, I had the pleasure of seeing Michael for a second time. This time, it was during the Creation '94 festival, whic was a scheduled stop on his 1994 Acoustic Tour. I was wearing a T-shirt and cap I bought when I saw him during the Change Your World Tour. When he spotted me and noticed what I was wearing, he smiled and waved! It was a 4-hour ride from my town in New Jersey to the farm, but I tell you, it was well worth it. At the time, my family had a brand new conversion van, fully equipped with all the features, including a TV and VCR. I brought all Michael's videos with us, including my taping of The 25th Annual DOVE AWARDS. We watched them for the whole ride. It was just like having Michael on the ride with us.
This spectacular night concluded with all 465.000 people and all the staff standing arm-in-arm, holding candles, while Michael sang Agnus Dei. It was a night that any Smitty fan will always remember!
