Moral Anxiety - S/T
Moral Anxiety really knows how to pack a punch. This three piece band sounds real tight. To me it has a groove like Faith No More, Nasty Savage and many other influences which I hear. If you are into good ol' Heavy Metal you would enjoy this one.

Moral Anxiety - S/T
The first song "You'll Never See" starts off with right in your face vocals. Everything is well mixed together, the guitars are just screaming in your face and the drummer shows his skills with his thunderous drumming. The second song "Stained" is a well organized song. In the begining the vocals starts off sounding like BIO-HAZARD and then it breaks off into a DELIEVERANCE feel. Very smooth guitar riffs and very edgy. "Holier Than Thou" is the next tune that makes its bass guitar more present into the song. "To Oz" is the next song and it is not one of my favorite tunes, just because I am not into the rushing sound of the song. Now we are half way through the album and now "Her", the following song has a very psychedelic and groovy begining. Just imagein you are out side in your underware sitting on a lawn chair having a drink in one hand while your watching the world go by without a care. "Test-Tube Baby" breaks in the song with a nifty guitar riff and the song is pretty funny. Great lyrical work here guys, remember just give it a little squirt! "Flyaway" is a pretty decent song that is just a plain rocking song that for me has not much flavor, but it is a short song so it is no big deal. "Changing In Color" has a different feel compared to their other songs. The vocals here is just a bit rough, but they sure now how to kick some ass. "Time" is the second to the last song just as the song starts Tracy Raines shows you how to play some bass. Tim Bream is a brilliant guitar player, his solo's are in your face with the scales going all the way around you. The last song on this great demo "Colorblind Dream" is a mellow tune with an important message, but also a sad message. To me this song deals with modern fustrations as people feel when nothing is going there way and they want an immedient change, so they go off and dream about a better place. This is one of my favorite songs on this whole album.

Yeah Right - New Era
Wow!!!! This three piece band from Moline, IL can kick some real a$$. If you like PANTERA, FEAR FACTORY & MY SISTER'S MACHINE, then you would really enjoy this band. The musicianship is real tight and aggressive. I will not be supprised in a few years that YEAH RIGHT will be signed to a Major label very soon. RINAT has one of the best female vocals in Rock sense Lita Ford. I really enjoyed this album and they have a new fan over here in Minnesota. If you think that Metal is dead all I got to say is YEAH-RIGHT. If you would like to contact them, here is their address: Check them out you will not be disappointed.

Living Dead - Gothic Christian Metal. This is a very interesting album it has a mixture of L7 and Hole. The best song off of this Demo "Puppets" is 'the Gift' this song has an all around great mixture of sounds and melody. Great effort by all the members, but the only thing I can see is that the vocals seemed a little too relaxed, maybe that is what they were going for the relaxed vocal sound.

INBREED - Consenting Goat(Three sheeps in the wind)
This power thrash band from Texas is a hard punching band that doesn't take no crap. These songs are straight to the point. On most of there songs I notice a similarity to EXCITER. I would recommend this Disc to anyone who loves heavy thrashin metal.

INBREED - Back to the Underground
Another great release from INBREED. This album just rocks a mixture of pure kick a$$ and beer.

HEAVE - Self Destruction
Holy Cow!! I couldn't put this Disk down. This album has so much power and conviction, it just makes me get on my hands n' knees and thank the lord for great metal. This band is going places, that I can tell. The first song 'NEVER FALL' is my favorite song of them all. If you like: 'ULTIMATUM', 'ANNIHILATOR' and I sense a little bit of 'HELLOWEEN'

ISENGARD - We Destruct The World
This album has power and pure headbanging metal. Progressive Metal hasn't sound this good for a long time. The first song has a good use of the phaser for the guitar. A lot of originality that is in this album. I have found no disapointments at all, just clean riffs. If you are into Dream Theater, you would really enjoy this master peice of an album. Metal is back and ISENGARD isn't taking any prisoners.

ZERO TOLERANCE - S/T
You got to give credit to a band that puts a demo out with no financial help. Even though the sound quality is not that good this band has a good sound. The vocals is a bit to shouty, but maybe that is just cause the recording needs alot of help. If this band stays together they could mature musically and then their next demo could sound a whole lot better. This is a young band and they do have a lot of promise. But this is only my opinion just check this band out and see for yourself.

HEAVE - Beguile
Ahhhhh another great release from this power metal band. This is their first release and it does not even sound like it. I haven't heard of a tight sounding and aggressive metal band since Metallica(old style). Why hasn't any major label inked this awesome band. Maybe the labels are scared of this kind of greatness. The first Track 'Wasted Years' shows their power and skill, 'Alone' shows their deeper side. Just pick up this album while you can before they run out. I am excited for this band, everything they have has a great mix of talent. If there is a fan club, please sign me up!

HANKER - The Dead Ringer
What ever happend to EXCITER and POWERMAD. Well it seems to me that they formed this great band. Which is not true but this band is one of the best unsigned bands in the market. Unrelenting power and aggression shows that they are ready for the big time. The first track "Unsung Hero" starts off with melodic sceenery and comes in with a punch. Punishing Riffs brings this song into one of my all-time favorite list. Another great track is "The Clown", this song has alot of great mixes of slow motion rock to (old)Metallica pounding riffs. To me it was a privaledge to review this classic Metal album.

HANKER - In Our World
This is Hankers first release and it is a very well produced and well played album. I found no disapointments here at all. This is a classic album for everyone's collection if you want hard hitting Metal you got it and if you want heart felt lyrics it is here too. When the first time that I heard this album I was shocked I thought that I was back in the early 80's cause I hear alot of early 80's Metal influences which include Exciter, Torch and Powermad. Just check this band out, Power Metal at its finest.

INVERSION - Tarsus Burning
Christian Death Metal at it's finest. This album is so powerful it just screams Mosh it up baby! If you are into Suffocation, Mendota and Asbuk. Then I really would recomend this album to all Death Heads. The best song from this album is Defilement..."Skin torn, blood flow, limbs tied, throat exposed, on the altar of eternity the sacrifice is prepared, offereing of indemnity, the righteous look on their lord....." such sweet lyrics it brings tears to my eyes. Give this band a try and you will not be disappointed.

Ton of Bricks - S/T
Ton of Bricks is one band that pulls no punches when it comes to balls to the wall pure Heavy Metal. Aggressive Metal at its best. I hear a mixture of PANTERA, CYCLONE TEMPLE & Galatic Cowboys. This is a bunch of talented musicians, it seems that they have been rockin for a very long time. I am pleased with this awesome power Metal band. The vocalist Dave Adams uses his vocals like a weapon, Dan Karabaic shreds his guitar with style and talent. Ron & Gregg also did a fantastic job Rockin'. This is one Heavy Metal band that will lead Metal back into the 20th centurary.

CALAMUS - The Road Trax
The very song on this album has very heavy distorted bass. Which has a bit of 'Rage Against the Machine' sound. It also has a lot of the Hardcore riffs that are real well played. I just wich that the vocals were more brought up on volume. Other than that this is a good album. On the second song the guitars were just a bit overdriven but it made the song very interesting, I like it.

CALAMUS - single They also sent me their new single "Cosmic Dust". And I say that this is a straight forward song that got me rockin. This is a whole lot better than the previous album. This has aggressive guitar riffs, monsterous drumming ability and bass distorted to your pleasure. The vocal style is a lot better.

Rapture - 1998
This is another great album with a lot of authority. The musicanship here is real tight, aggressive and striaght to the point. On the song "Broken" they show you that they have different emotions in their playing, slow and fast. They really know how to put the transition into their changes. The only fault is in the mixing of the album. The vocals are suffocated by the rest of the mix. Other than that this is a great Demo. They are ready for the big time. If you are into PRONG, EXODUS and ORDIANED FATE then you really would like this band.

Rapture - 1996
Here is another demo from this great band. Ear blistering and very ear satisfing to me. Thundering guitar solos from the Gods of Metal. The fire smoking drum playing. Everything is just like their second demo except the vocals are up a bit more. My favorite song is "DEAD", in this song they know how to have fun. This demo has the sounds of ORDAINED FATE and STYGIN. Every one here is very talented and well organized. Lets hope we will see them in Metal Edge strutting their stuff.

Divine Misery - Rejected feelings of Worthfulness
This is a great and powerful Death Metal band. This album has a sound of the old style death metal. This band has a great future in the Death Metal scene. On this 6 song demo my favorite song is 'Give us this day our daily flesh' talk about true conviction an versitility when it comes to Death Metal. I really enjoyed this album alot and I would really recommend this album to any Black Metal fan. If you are into Mayhem & Satyricon and of course all of these bands are from the old School of Black Metal that is way this band sounds great.

VOLUME - Love is big as a mountian and heavy as f*@k
Well some times the name of the band sounds just like their name of the band. This band does not even speak any volume to me at all. This is an alright band, with some funky names for their songs. On one of the songs the bass was way to distorted for my taste, actually way to distorted that you could barely get to hear any of the guitars. It could be that I got a bad copy, who knows. If you are into heavy distorted bass then you should check these guys out.

FEAST ETERNAL - Prisons of Flesh
This is a great Christian Death Metal album. It has everything that Death Metal has to offer: aggression, power and attitude. All 8 songs on this album really kicks yeah in the rear. This is also a great Ministral Album for those who need a little guidance in there lives. If are into Crimson Thorn & Napalm Death you would enjoy this outstanding album. These guys have a bright future, look for these guys to be as big as Mortification in the Christian Death Metal scene.

HEARKEN - Arise
Now this is a great 2 song demo. This has everything that a great Christian Death Metal band is made of. The power of the vocals reaches to your soul with energy and passion. The first song 'Arise' has a sound similar to Royal Anguish & Metanoia. Now the second song 'Discernment' is another powerful and aggressive tune. This one is more heavier with thunderous Drums, Sin crushing Guitars & Vocals. This two song demo is great and I would really recommend this one to all Death Heads.

REIGN OF TERROR - World of Hurt
If you want EXTREME BRUTALITY then you would want to check this band out. They have everything that Grinding Death Metal has to offer; Lyrics that talk about puss, rotting, stench of death. The best song on this whole entire album is HOMELESS.  The guitar playing is hectic, the drums are deafening and the vocals are powerful. This is a great Death Metal Band.

PSYCHO GYPSY
GLAM Rockers Rejoice! Here is one of the best glam metal bands since the (Old)Motley Crue & Faster PussyCat. The first song Wanna Be in the Show is just kickin', it has everything that metal has to offer. The musicianship in this band is great, all the songs are tight. Erik brings his phenominal guitar playing to the max, Eddies Vocals sound similar to Micheal Sweet(Stryper), Taime Downe(Faster Pussycat, Newlydeads). Mykel shows us his thunderous drum playing. Last but not least we have Tim, an outstanding bass player. Overall this band is the best Metal band that has come around in a long time. If you are a fan of good solid METAL then you would love this band. If you do get this album all you have to do is Crank it up and rock out. GLAM IT UP BABY!!!!

THExMODELs - Flush it
Yet another good Glam Metal band with some attitude. The first song is a party song. It has everything that you would expect in a Glam Metal band. On the second song the vocals in the begining sound a bit nasally. It could be the microphone that they are using. The musicianship on this is real good, it has a flavor of the Dogs D'Amour. If you like glam with attitude then I would recommend this one.

LOUD N' NASTY - S/T
Glam is trying to make a comeback. If it does well then you will see these guys in that in there. The first song End of School is a real party song that brings in crunchy guitars and slamin drums. Some Live Fast(Some Die Young) is their second song which is another party song that has an attitude. Now for the downfall of this album which is the ONLY downfall is the song Blow Your Speakers, to me who ever mixed this album mixed all the other songs at once and did this one another day. But do not sell this band short they have so much promise and dedication that show in this album. They did a cover of Motley Crues song Piece of your Action which they did a spectacular job at. This band is going places so jump on their bandwagon and hang on.

MUTINY - Guilty As Charged
Power Metal. The first song The Cross-Bone Flag starts off a bit choppy, but then about 30 seconds into the song things start to flare up. I hear a hint of Gamma Ray & Helloween. In about 5 minutes into the song it slows down to a Fates Warning tempo. I really enjoyed the many tempo changes. The second song Guilty as Charged, again the song starts off with a mild guitar riff that sounds a bit muddy. This song has a Judas Priest fell when Zervanos hits his high pitched tones and then breaks into the Fates Warning groove, WOW! The Lead Guitarist's Krimpenis & Frantzis really know how to shread. Keep up the great work you guys.

Purge
The first song 'The Change' starts off with some great guitar work. But then the vocals came in I am not really fond of this type of vocals. The musicians work great together on this album. Great fluid and majestic solo. Now the next song 'What you need' is another great tune with the instruments, but the only instrument that I couldn't handle that much is the vocals. Maybe for some of you might have a different flavour when it comes to vocal styles. For example: (Iron Maiden, Obituary & Kings X) now they all have different styles. Now this band is a very aggressive band that could make some noise in this industry. But with a change in the vocals I can see them go further.
