Humpty Dumpty was no normal egg.

Humpty - he was pretty cool.

For friends he wouldn't have to beg.

He always swam at the town pool.

He had to be careful what he did -

He couldn't play hockey as a kid.

if the poor fragile egg got hit -

Kids had to pick him up bit by bit.

Humpty was ashamed of being round.

A few kids would be mean to him.

But that's ok - he was college bound -

and he always worked out in the gym.

He even got good grades in school,

He was popular each place he went.

The insecure kids called him a fool.

But Humpty knew good is what they meant.

Just when Humpty's life was great,

He thought it was peachy keen,

little did he know it was about to break,

Just when he was living every egg's dream.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,

He really thought it would be fine.

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,

That day to Humpty was not kind.

The king's horses and all the king's men,

Tried to put him together again.

But to their solemn despair,

"Humpty is dead," they sadly declared.

I guess Humpty needed more than king's men,

then maybe now he wouldn't be in his grave.

The poor poor egg didn't even know when,

He didn't even get to give a happy wave,

But I know when my life sadly shatters,

I've got the only thing that matters -

I know I've got more than king's men,

cuz my King can put my life together again.
