hey, how's it goin'. this page here is just my humble tribute to samiam. if ya don't know who they are, then yer a fuckin idiot. they're a 5 piece alternative-punk band from san fransisco. they got 5 albums out (Samiam, Soar, Billy, Clumsy, You Are Freaking Me Out) which all kick major ass. if any of you saw green day on their nimrod tour, then you saw samiam. they were the opening band that fucking rocked!!!!!! here you go, because i'm so nice: the guitar tab to She Found You | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6/13/99 well, i'm back with a pretty sad rumor. it appears that samiam's label has gone out of business. i emailed the guy i know at ignition records at his business account to ask about it, and i didn't get a reply. and then tommy boy had the split with ignition for their street teams. and even samiam's official webpage thinks that it went broke. so that really sucks, cause they had some great bands on there. you should all go check out spring heeled jack and stem. i've seen stem live and they rocked the house. anyway, that really sucks, but samiam get alot of label offers, so i'm pretty hopeful. well, that's it for now 5/9/99 yay, i finally got around to updating the page. sorry though, it's not about samiam. the only thing i know so far is whatever it says on www.gosamgo.com. but i got something else to tell ya. there's these 2 bands on www.mp3.com that kick ass. there's discern and ex number five. discern is this great mxpx type of band from my hometown. they're the nicest guys and their music is fucking great. check them out at here. ex number five is this amazing band from new jersey that sounds so much like samiam. check out their song "so far out". i guarantee that if you like samiam, you'll love this song. check it out right here. that's it for now. hopefully i'll have some samiam news within the next week or 2. 3/13/98 okay, i finally got a scanner, so i'm able to put the pictures up on the site that i got a long time ago. so here they are some pictures of samiam that you won't be able to find anywhere else right here 3/6/99 howdy all of you out there in samiamland. 2 updates in 2 days, now how cool is that. the tour itinerary (yay, chris learned a big word) has been updated. here you go: 6/17/99 Lyons, France venue tba 6/18/99 Barcelona, Spain venue tba 6/19/99 Madrid, Spain venue tba 6/20/99 either Italy or France venue tba 6/21/99 some city in Italy tba venue tba 6/22/99 AMSTERDAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! venue tba (god i wanna go to this show) 6/23/99 Derby, England Victoria Inn 6/24/99 Bradford, England Rio 6/25/99 London, England The Garage well, that's what i know so far. i really wanna go to that amsterdam show. and these dates here are just samiam solo. the ones that i put up before are with some different bands:Absolute Beginner, Bloodhound Gang, Donots, Dynamite Deluxe, MC Yaw & MC Santana. that's it for now 3/5/99 not much to say now. they've written a bunch of songs which are gonna hopefully be the new record. it'll probably be a mid-summer release. that's it for now. 2/15/99 well, samiam has found a new drummer. his name is davey and he's the ex drummer for stanford prison experiment. i've heard some of their shit and it sounds pretty good. now, everybody give davey a warm samiam welcome. now they're gonna hopefully finish up the new album and have it out in a couple of months. i need some new samiam!!!!! i also took the survey down, cause the fucking thing wasn't working. sorry if you tried it. that's it for now 2/6/99 horrible news: mp has announced that he has left the band. this sucks. i always liked mp, even though he was only around for 1 album, i liked him. he will be sorely missed. i guess they're gonna audition new drummers and pick one out soon, so we'll have a new member of the samiam family. i guess things will all work out. 1/24/99 well, i just found out that samiam will be touring europe in the summer. the first 2 dates that i had up here are not goin on. sorry Date City Venue 06/04/99 Hannover Bad 06/05/99 Chemnitz AJZ 06/06/99 Nuremberg Forum 06/07/99 Munich Babylon 06/08/99 Stuttgart LKA 06/09/99 Gottingen Outpost 06/10/99 Cologne Live Music Hall 06/11/99 Bremen Schlachtof 06/12/99 Berlin So 36 06/13/99 Hamburg Docks Konzerte 06/14/99 Munster Skaters Palace 06/15/99 Essen Zeche Carl all of these dates are in germany, so if you're there, be sure to go check them out. it will be a most amazing show. hopefully they'll even play some new music. that's it for now 1/9/99 okay, i just found out that samiam will be on a couple of compilations. one of them coming out on fat wreck chords will be a whole bunch of 30 second songs. it's gonna have the usual punk bands (NOFX, Bad Religion...). Also, they're gonna be on the Pixies tribute album. Weezer's gonna be on that too. that's about it 12/26/98 okay, that's it. the tour is officially over. next summer, hopefully? other than that, the only news is that they're hopefully gonna have a new album out by this summer, and tour behind it. who knows? also, i just added the guitar tab to she found you. i know shit about computers, so it was not fucking easy. you better fuckin like it!!! that's about it | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
