2002 NEWSDecember 11, 2002 Temporary stress relief from studying... Work on the page!! hee hee... I added my Grey Cup Adventure review and added some articles I found on the net. I also added two new pics in the fan encounter section from Becky and Kay. I'll see what else needs to be done over the holidays since I have a lot of free time after. Until then here's just a mini update.
The pics from the guys Grey Cup appearance are up. Look under the Media section and you'll see Joanne's Grey Cup Adventure November 24, 2002 There's no review yet because I don't have time at the moment to write it. There's a little matter about a term paper I need to finish for next week and because my fingers haven't quite thawed out enough yet to type something. I finally met Gerry who is absolutely the most WONDERFUL manager in the world...hehehe. (Wait for the review. You'll understand why.. PS Thank you again Gerry. You're the best!)
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WINS FOR BEST NEW GROUP OR DUO AND RISING STAR GUYS!!!! Congrats to Chris, Mike and Jeff for their individual wins for the all star band as well. The guys will also be performing in their hometown (and mine!) of Grande Prairie, AB on November 27th, 2002 at the Canada Games Arena. Cost of the tickets is $30.00. They will also be performing at the Grey Cup Half Time Show in Edmonton, AB.
Good luck at the CCMA's Monday night guys!!! You're a shoo-in to win a few of those awards. We'll be cheering for you wherever we are! Updated the gallery with a link to a few pics of the guys performing on CMT's Most Wanted Live. A big THANK YOU to Hal Hassall at CMT for sending me the link! You can find them on the gallery page. A tiny other side note, I'm back in school now at the university so the updates won't be happening as fast as they were this summer. I'll update whenever I'm not up to my head in textbooks, research papers and what ever else the profs decide to throw my way. So until the next time...
Updated the reviews and fan encounter pics; the awards and nominations with the CCMA Award nominations. Fixed the pics as well so they should be working now. The guys will also be performing at the CCMA Awards Show September 9, 2002 so tune into CMT (for those of you in the US ) and CBC for the CAnadians for the time it airs. Also, Brenda has set up a guestbook for fans wishing to give Jeff their messages and best wishes on his new career as a songwriter. You can find the guestbook at here.
Jeff Loberg has left the band to pursue a songwriting career. The band had been discussing this for awhile now and are very supportive of Jeff's decision. Best of luck to you Jeff in all your future endevours and who knows maybe we'll see you again one day on a future Emerson Drive album as the songwriter!! GOOD LUCK AND WE WILL MISS YOU!!!! In other news, I'm tinkering around with the site at the moment removing dead links and fixing pictures. I'll update again when I get all the pictures fixed. Until next time....

I redid the links sections so that they are their own pages. There are getting to be way more Emerson Drive sites out there and the list was getting too long for my menu to hold them! LOL I know I'm still missing a few so if you would like me to add your site, send me an email with your link and your banner if you have one. I'll gladly add them. I resized the pics from the CD Release Party as well and added the short video clips I made while I was there. I also added the official biography from Dreamworks Nashville.
WHEW... I'm tired! I had such a blast at the party. It was great to see the guys again after 6 years! It was also great to see people that I graduated high school with. Man, everyone has changed! It took me while to figure out who everyone was! Anyways there's a link for the CD Release Party. I'm sorry the pics are so big right now but I just loaded them and it's almost 2 in the morning here. I'll fix them later and give explantion although most are self explanatory. Thank you Brad, Jeff, Chris, Pat, Mike, and Danick for a very cool time. I really enjoyed it and it was so nice to see all of you! Maybe we can do this again sometime! :o)
Thank you to Cassie for the lyrics to the two new songs off the album. They have been added to the lyrics section for the Emerson Drive CD. The B-Sides and Unreleased Singles have also been added to the site with the two songs that were on the previous advance album that were removed. Also recieved word that JOE RADIO still has a few copies of 12 Gauge's "Until You Walk the Tracks" CD available. Also, PLEASE go vote for Emerson Drive at The CMT Flameworthy Music Awards. Here is our chance as fans to help the guys recieve the first of many nominations and awards. So everyone... GO OUT AND VOTE!!!!!! Second newsflash, Emerson Drive will be debuting on the Grand Ole Opry Friday, May 31, 2002. It will not be shown on TV, you will be able to hear it on the Internet.
Added the fan photos and encounters section, I need to resize some of the pics as they are HUGE but for the life of me can't remember how. Will have to look it up but the page has been updated. Added a couple links for you to vote for Emerson Drive on CMT and their Flameworthy Music Awards.
Thought about it and didn't like the side menu too much. It covered some of the words especially on the news section, main section and the concert reviews so I switched to the top down menu. sigh... Yes, I know... I'm very nitpicky when it comes to this site.
Not much to say unless you've seen the cool side menu I've added. Still working on the Fan Pics and Encounters section. Just need to add more pics and who they came from.
The Concert Review Section has been added to the page. If you would like to add a review for me, there is feedback button on the page. Just click on it and type your review into the space. I'll put it as I get them. I'm also changing forums.. Grr... Delphi Forums is kinda a pain. Some messages go through directly while others don't. Go figure... Anyways, I'm be switching to Network 54 Forums. It's basically the same place where the chatroom is and there is a link to the chatroom from the messageboard as well. This place doesn't require you to sign in with a login name and you can post as a guest. Other news I forgot to add in the previous two updates, CD release set for May 21st. The guys also recorded two new songs for the album and one of them will be the next single to be released. It's called "Fall Into Me". I also added a new article I found online at Yahoo.com by the Associated Press.

Just taking a bit of a break from writing term papers and studying so a few quick updates...Two new sections have been added to the site: Fan Encounters and Pics and Fan Concert Reviews. The links are up but under construction (aka they don't work yet!) I'll work on them once I finish in April. I would also like to say that I have found a new message board!!! It's being hosted by Delphi Forums. I will have it up sometime this weekend. There are a few things I have to figure out still about it! Check out the guestbook, Brad has left a message for everyone. Anyways, Happy Easter Everyone! Don't eat too much Chocolate on Sunday! LOL
Rejoice!!! My Spring Break is finally here!!! LOL Added a few more pics found while surfing around the Net. Updated the Yahoo Group Calendar with appearances from Dreamworks Site. I also added an interview from Country Interviews Online and a very old article from June 1996 from Alberta Report. Other news... the CD release has been pushed back to April 16, 2002.
2001 NEWSDecember 23, 2001 I did a major revamping to some of the pages. I added the liner notes from the two other CD's in the Albums section, added two pics from Music Row Magazine in the gallery (Please don't take them, I asked specifically for permission to put them on my site.) and still adding more but waiting from permission from site owners. I'm working on fixing the gallery so that it's a bit more organized but it's taking A LOT of time to do. I also want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well.
Emerson Drive will be on the cover of County Weekly Magazine for their Christmas issue. It will be out in stores December 11, 2001. They will also be featured on the cover of Music Row Magazine for their December issue which hits the stores December 1, 2001. The single "I Should Be Sleeping" is on the rise on various countdowns across the country. I also found two more appearances They will be at the San Bernadino Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA and in Beautmont Club in Kansas City, MO February 14, 2002, and 8 Seconds Saloon Indianapolis, IN February 15 and 16, 2002 and the moment we've all been waiting for.... the long awaited release date of the CD has been announced!!!!! Mark your calendars February 12, 2002 is the date of the self titled CD "Emerson Drive"! In other news, I recieved word that the yahoo clubs will be closing down and merging with Yahoo Groups. That being said, I will be deleting the yahoo club this weekend and creating the Emerson Drive Yahoo Group instead. YIKES!!! It has been awhile since I updated this site hasn't it. I've been very swamped with school work so everything else has been given the back seat. I have updates.... Single, "I should be sleeping" has been released and being played by radio stations. Everyone...PICK UP YOUR PHONE AND START REQUESTING!!!!! That was the cry from my contact! LOL The video is also on CMT so keep an eye out for it. The CD is due out in January 2002. The guys have been very busy, doing radio tours promoting the new album and are getting a ton of support from the stations they've visited. I will try and update again when I get more news but it won't happen until around Christmas Break. One more thing, I've gotten rid of the message board. I just don't have the time to maintain it now.
Sorry for the extreme lack of updates. I haven't been able to get into the file manager and now must use a different program to upload any changes and updates to the pages. Anyways, I have got a ton of updates. Have news from Brad regarding their sched for the next 6 months. They will be at the Calgary Stampede Calgary Stampede....July 6th to the 15th at Desperados Night Club and while in Calgary they will be shooting their video for "First Single" (which is still at this time unknown) and opening for Dwight Yokam while at the Stampede. In July they will be opening for Mindy McCreedy and July 21st, they will be opening for Alan Jackson in Sioux City, Iowa. The single will be released for their North American debut August 20th and 21st. On September 4th, they will be opening for Rascal Flats in Rockford, Illinois and heading to Calgary for the CCMA awards. They also might be possibly touring with Terri Clark in a cross Canada tour ( I'm excited. I haven't seen them perform since our high school days at St. Joes!) and hopefully they will have a number one single in December so when it hits the airwaves in August, we support the guys by requesting their song as much as possible! Anyways, I will heading up to Grande Prairie next weekend, and praying maybe just maybe, I'll be able to catch the guys as I have heard they are on a 3 week vacation right now. A big thank you to my contacts (you know who you are) for all the recent info. It is greatly appreciated and this one piece of news I got made me happy. It seems someone from Dreamworks has stumbled upon my little world of Emerson Drive and was quite surprized to see a webpage for the guys. LOL! It made my day....:)

They will be in Edmonton AB this weekend Feb. 4 and 5 at the Rattlesnake Saloon, Dawson Creek, BC on Feb. 10,11, and 12; and in Whitehorse YK from Feb. 17- Mar 4. It is getting to be busy time for me as for the next two months I will be up to my head in midterms and papers. I will try to update as much as possible. I also got some speculation news concerning the guys but when I get the final word I'll put it up here. A little tiny note from Brad to his fans, he wants to you to vote for him in the voting booth. He's "pissed off" about his ranking in the standings. So go vote for him and let his head swell for a bit :).

2000 NEWSOctober 28, 2000 I received some news about Emerson Drive's New CD. It's scheduled to be released this December or January 2001. I heard this from a friend so I'm not sure if it's set in concrete. Will keep you updated. Check the message board for future news cause I don't have time at present to update. I ran out of holiday time so I won't be rearranging the photo gallery as planned. I did reset the voting booth so go vote here. I am also in university now so the updates won't be as frequent as they usually are. One thing is for sure, college is way different than university!
I'm FINALLY back from Calgary and the summer job so now its time to catch up on Emerson Drive news and other things before school starts Sept. 6. Anyways, the long awaited pics I have been waiting for have finally come. A VERY BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Detwiler for sending them to me. She took a ton of pics and I'm slowly scanning them cause my computer keeps crashing everytime I try to save them. I have 4 scanned presently and they are up in the gallery. The gallery will also be getting a tiny overhaul so instead of one column of pics there will be two cause its getting way too long.
I found a new pic while surfing the net so its up in the photo gallery and I've also made a message board which makes things so much easier to leave notes. I will be done with my job in Calgary in 10 days and be home to update more. The guys are presently on their way to Nashville and are somewhere in Indiana right now.
This must be my really bad luck cause I read in this mornings paper (The Edmonton Journal) that there will be a Global Fan Fest and guess who will be there but I won't (I have to work). You guessed it the guys. It happens on Monday, June 19, 2000 at the Jubilee Auditorium at 8:00PM. Call Ticketmaster for tickets at (780) 451 8000.
Hello! Sorry for the major lack of updates but I have been busy and I forgot the password for a bit. Now that I have remembered here are some updates.... First things first, I have finally uploaded all the mp3's from the CD's. Still waiting to talk to the guys about permission. Another thing which may cause some trouble for me is my summer job. I will be working in Calgary for the summer and updates will only be done when I come home to Edmonton on my days off. I will try to do some updates while in Calgary but it will most likely show up on the Friends of 12 Gauge Club on Yahoo site first because I will be updating from the public library in Calgary and they have a time limit so check there first before checking here. Another thing is that I get emails asking for more pics and articles on the guys but what you see is all I have so if any of you out there have pics and would like to share them, scan them and send it to me and I will put it up on the page for you.
Updated the Article section about the guys signing a record deal with DreamWorks Records. I have also finally gotten one mp3 done (Blind Faith since that has the most votes right now) but because of legal implications I can't put it on the page. I still have to talk to the guys about getting permission to put them up.
I just got another email from Brad's sister and boy I have really good news!!!!! Last night, the boys signed a 7 CD contract with Dreamworks so CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!!! She said Brad will be calling tonight with more info so I should be getting another email tonight. I'll update again if I do. Another thing, they have fixed the guestbook so its functional again.
Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates but I haven't heard anything from the guys yet. I know today is their last date of a tour of the Yukon so I should be hearing something soon. The other reason is that I have EXTREMELY busy with school cause I have a heavier course load this semester. Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know that the guestbook is down. I can't even get into it and I have already contacted the people that run the guestbook server about it. Hopefully I didn't lose everything. The downed links are still down and I have no idea when I will be fixing them so I will be taking them out until I have time.

1999 NEWSDecember 21, 1999 Got a call from Brad and the guys as they were headed to West Edmonton Mall for some Christmas shopping. They are headed home to Grande Prairie for a well deserved break and will be performing at BJ's New Year's Eve. Tickets are $80/person and include dinner and drinks. I don't have the number for BJ's cause I don't know if we have the Grande Prairie phone book anymore. I will look for it and put it down if I find the phone book. They have signed a deal with an entertainment agency out of Nashville who will be handling all their promotions and tour dates. They will heading back to Nashville in the New Year for some tour dates and more showcases. I also want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.
All the sound files have been loaded from the Until You Walk the Tracks CD. Finally decided to get an email address for the band's new name. The address is emersondrive@hotmail.com and I will be cancelling the other email address at fastmail and usa.net once I've finished updating everything. Also started working on the frames version of this page for those of you that like frames. Everything is there now I just have to start making the frames.
I am finally done finals for this century. Now all I need is a long break. Added the Drinking Game I made up in the middle of the night. Still working on the name changing but almost finished.
Updated Newspaper section with lineup for Bud Country 2000. Also talked to friend with some info. Warner decided not to sign Emerson Drive. I have something to say to the Warner Execs. You don't know what your missing people!!!! The guys are presently in Billings, Montana and will be home in Grande Prairie around Christmas. They are also playing BJ's on New Year's Eve.
Just another quick update cause I should be studying for finals and I'm sitting in front of my computer instead. Anyways, I read in the Grande Prairie newspaper that the guys will be performing at Bud Country 2000 in GP at the end of June 2000. I'm not sure about ticket prices but will put them later when I find out.
One week and counting....... I have my cable modem now but I'm busy with school now so the songs won't be uploaded probably until Christmas. My teachers haven't thrown anything at me yet for next week so it looks like I will be going. I have my camera set and ready to snap pics. I'm going to have a little contest for a prize but I haven't quite decided what type of contest to hold so I'm open to suggestions. One more thing before I head off to class is that I've written up a 12 Gauge/Emerson Drive Drinking Game. It will be up at Christmas when I get my Christmas break and I will be resetting the voting booth for November so if you voted recently go vote again. As for the favorite song, if any of you know of any songs I'm missing send me the name and I'll put it up there. The song with the most votes will get fully downloaded unless there are any legal technicalities from the guys.
Nothing much to report except that my long awaited cable modem will be installed next week(YES!) I've been searching for new ways to promo my page on the net and I've already blitzed the search engines a couple times. (Technically, I think thats spamming.) Anyone know of any good places? Also been changing everything from 12 Gauge to Emerson Drive. (You have no idea how many times it appears somewhere.) Countdown to the CFR is 2 weeks. Keep praying that I have nothing major due that week or there is no way that I will be able to go. So far, nothing yet but you know teachers. They love to throw stuff on you at the last minute.
For awhile now, I have been searching for a new domain name for the page cause as many of you know, the site address is entirely too long in my opinion. I did some searching and found a free domain name thing so I got a shorter site address. The new site address is http://welcome.to/emersondrive.(No dot at the end, thats just a period.) I still kinda in shock that I got a call from Brad cause it was like totally unexpected and then there's me babbling like an idiot. (What did you expect? I haven't seen them since high school graduation and that was like 3 years ago. Oh well). Now that I know I'll be getting a phone call I'll be more prepared. One more thing, that mailing list I started has been deleted. I just don't have any time to update and maintain it. This is enough work already.
Happy Turkey Day to everyone in Canada. Ok I just got off the phone with Brad like less than 10 minutes ago (That day I was waiting for finally came!) and I got some news. They just got back from Nashville and things look pretty good. They had 7 major labels come and take a look at them. Warner Brother seems very interested and will be coming again to take a listen. Like I said before they will be performing at the CFR here in Edmonton November 11 and performing for 3 days. For those of you fans who keep asking me when and where the guys will be appearing keep checking. I will be updating shortly when I get a tour schedule from Brad.
Two tiny announcements....The guys will be performing in Saskatoon next week and will be in Edmonton in November during the CFR (Canadian Finals Rodeo). I am hoping that I will not get a ton of essays and midterms to study for so that I can pay the guys a visit. I also sent another letter to Brad so I'm waiting for some sort of an answer.
I got a new pic of the guys and gals they're looking HOT! I've never seen or met Dannick of Mike yet as I knew the original band members Remi, Dave and Dan. These two guys are pretty good looking in my opinion.(hint hint go vote for your fav guy here). The cable service is taking longer than I expected so the waiting continues. The guys are in Nashville now according to my friend to who sent the pic. They were at the CCMA awards in Ottawa on Monday but didn't appear on TV(DARN!). Anyways, that's it for now.

Late Breaking News......12 Gauge has changed their name to Emerson Drive. No this is not a rumor its true. They recently unveiled it at a benefit concert held on their behalf for their upcoming trip to Nashville. I'll be adding the article I found as soon as I edit it and save it to disk. I'm still waiting for cable internet so the songs are still kind of delayed. I'm also putting up a new booth for ya guys to vote. Like the new name?Hate it?or give your suggestions. I'll foreword the results to the guys. As for email address, I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but for now the email address will be still 12gauge4ever@usa.net until I decide to change it.
Guess what???? I'M BACK!!!! It is FINALLY GOOD(and I do mean it) to be back in Canada after 6 weeks on a different continent where pizza tastes awful and country music doesn't exist! I found another article about the guys performing at the the Bud Country Festival. They will head to Nashville at the end of this month to play for the Warner Brothers music execs. Keep your fingers crossed and wish them luck! I will be getting faster net service in two weeks (aka cable) so I will wait until then before I upload the new snips of songs I made before I left. Oh yeah one more thing.. I have a new email address cause I had some difficulty getting into usa.net when I had the chance to check my mail. The new address is 12gauge@fastmail.ca The usa.net address still works but sometimes it is hard to get into sometimes. Anyways that's all the news I recieved when I returned on Monday.

The newspaper articles are done and online. I also added a few more sound files from the Open Season CD so all the songs on there now all have sound. I'll try to add more from Until You Walk The Tracks before I leave but I'm not sure if I'll have time to load them.
Guess what I got in the mail today??? The newspaper articles from Mrs. Mates!!! Thank you again so much. I spent the afternoon scanning them and will hopefully have them up and on the page this weekend before I leave for Hong Kong next week. My cousins do not have Net access so I won't be able to do anything unless I'm at work and that will be ocassionally. I learned from a friend that Brad and the gang are back in GP for a bit of a vacation. Enjoy your break guys!
Sorry but I didn't get a chance to talk to Brad. I guess things got pretty busy for him last weekend. For those of you who sent me questions, don't worry I will be forwarding them to the guys with your email addresses and if youre lucky they might answer you.(I'm still waiting for my day to come!). Just a couple of reminders... I will be leaving for Hong Kong in about 3 weeks as I will be doing my work experience as part of my program requirements. I don't know how often I will get internet access. Hopefully, one of my cousins isn't living in the Dark Ages there and I will be able to update when I can.
I have got some news to tell. OK The first thing is that I would like to give a BIG THANK YOUto Mrs. Mates (Brad's mom) who is sending me some more articles to scan and update onto the page and to Brad for getting me two new pics to scan. I unfortunately wasn't home on Sunday night when my friend and Brad called *some amount of cursing* as I was attending my grandmother's funeral. Brad said that he would be back next weekend so I hope to get more on what's going on. I've also started a mailing list. Don't ask how long this is going to last cause I don't even know myself. The new sound files have been downloaded. Now I just have to link them. The index page is kinda messed up so not all the links show up. If you would like to visit all the links click on the News and Announcements cause thats where all the links will be now. I also started a club on Yahoo.com called Friends of 12 Gauge. I will be running the club for the summer but when school starts up again in September I may shut down the club unless I can find someone or somebody that would like to help me run the club. Otherwise, I haven't heard any news from the guys yet.
I'm finally done YES! Now to do some updating.... First and foremost if you have noticed, I have moved the page from geocities to fortunecity because they offer more webspace and it gives me some more room to add more sound files which are currently being worked on. The main page will stay on geocities but all other links are being sent to fortunecity. Second thing, the voting booth I was working on has been finished for now. To vote for your favorite guy and your favorite song Click here. I have two new sections I'm presently working on, one is newspaper articles or write-ups on the guys. I presently have one and am looking for more. If anyone out there has articles and access to scanner would you please send them to me by email. You will be given credit. The other new section I'm working on is a concert review from the fans. I'm looking for a review of about 250 words more or less where you saw the guys perform, the play list, anything that happened....stuff like that. One more thing.. I'm always looking for new pictures so if you would like 15 minutes of fame please send them to me. That's about it for now.

I have created a gallery of photos but it isn't quite done yet so no link yet. Surfing the net the other day and found some pics of 12 Gauge performing at the 1998 Merritt Music Festival. I'm also putting up a few pics of the guys when they were in high school and some of them are... well if I ever wanted to blackmail them this would be the ticket but since I'm such a nice person I won't. Some of the pics are also of former members.
OK it is Saturday night and no I didn't get to go because of a family emergency that took a higher priority on my list. Sorry to the guys because I know they were probably looking for me. I hope to get another message from them soon. I downloaded two more sound files and I have linked them but realized that I spelled them wrong so they don't work.
I finally have gotten the sound files on!*cheering in the background* Because of the enormous size of the .wav files I only put one file on for the present. I have four files so keep checking back cause they will change. I also might not be able to go to see the guys because I am back in school and my mom is doing the no more going out cause youre back in school now thing. I'm still trying to get a hold of my friend up there and find some other way to meet the guys while they are here. One more tiny tidbit, the guys are also going to Vancouver to record a new album when they are done touring.
