June 26, 2004 Yes, I know, I've been slacking in the update department. I only tend to do updates when I have news or in this case more pictures from the old days. :o) I've got the index page working again, I think. It was some coding error I don't know where it came from but it's gone and the front page is working now. I went to visit my source up in Grande Prairie and she supplied me with a few more pictures of Brad and the original crew of 12 Gauge. I also have one of Brad out and about in one of the many sports he enjoys. Check it out in the Photo Gallery. I'll have more up but there's only so much I can upload in a day while computer sharing. :o) I was planning to camp out at Rexall Place to catch a glimpse of the guys but alas a giant rain storm and howling winds pretty much killed that idea. Stupid rain! New CD comes on Tuesday!!!! It's been a long two year wait for everyone I'm sure but we are in for a treat. The new CD is awesome! I had the chance of hearing one of the very first versions of the CD where the guys had just laid down the tracks for it and even then I could hear it was going to be good. A big thank you to Mr. Mates for letting me hear it. You can hear the full album version at CMT.com's Listening Party link. I've also got this cool contest news from my pal Hal at CMT.com. Always wanted to get one of those cool iPods but found the price a little too much for your pocket? Well, the people at CMT.com are giving away an iPod and an autographed CD of What if. The link for the contest is http://www.cmt.com/interact/sweepstakes/emerson_drive. The contest ends July 25, 2004 so good luck to everyone! I've also got something a little special here at my house. I've got a slightly worn autographed copy of Open Season signed by the ORIGINAL members of 12 Gauge. I'm still deciding what to do with it. I'm thinking Ebay with the proceeds going to a charity. I'll let everyone know what I decide to do.
January 2, 2004 Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone had a good holiday and Santa was good to everyone. Anyways, the guys are now on a very well deserved and much needed break from the road and each other. They'll be hitting the road again beginning in February. The new single (or the next single for us Canadians) to be released from the new album entitled "What If" is called "Last One Standing." It hits the radio airwaves January 5, 2004 which by my count is in 3 days so everyone start calling the station Monday morning!!! I've heard a just a vocal mix of it and a clip of it with the background and it sounds awesome! I'm getting excited for the CD release, if I only knew when the exact date was. I keep hearing conflicting dates and now I'll believe it when I see it in the store. Onto other news... as you can tell, the page has gone through a bit of a redesign. Why the change you ask? One is that after 7 years of looking at the same design, wouldn't you be bored with it? Two, it was taking too freaking long to update just one section of the page the long way. Have you ever tried searching for wrong codes or errors in a notepad? It's enough to make you go cross-eyed looking for one stinking little piece of code! I took a course on Frontpage during the holidays and found that all I have to is enter stuff in and Frontpage will do the rest. If I screw up the codes now, its probably because I typed in the stuff the long way. (aka I just cut and pasted from the old site.) Not all the sections are fully functional just yet. You'll have to bear with me as I redesign. I hope to add a bunch of new stuff first being a site map and a better FAQ section. Hope you enjoy the changes!
