A TRIBUTE TO

Groovious Maximus. Was a band so natural, it's birthdate is impossible to pinpoint. "Legend" tells us that the entity which is Groovious Maximus has no actual beginning (or end, for that matter). Nothing tangible could possibly be placed on Groovious Maximus. It consist of five creative individuals' desire to express themselves personally and at the same time, support the others around them. Those close to or in Groovious have been known to call this 'Jammin'.

Groovious Maximus was based in twincities and was active in the surrounding five state area from 93 to 95.

Presented here is an account of a few short months' worth of sonic and spiritual experimentation by any of several combinations of the five band members. The majority of the material herein is unreleased, and it's production on most cuts is sub-standard to the Maximus' level of quality. It was all recorded anti-digitally, with no overdubs, on a high-School, dictaphone-looking tape recorder.
