The first of its kind in Denmark, El Boliche provides the unique emotion of dancing argentinian tango with live music instead of the usual tapes. Born in Odense, the group had its debut on september the 11th with a thrilling live concert in Amfiteatret i Brandts Klædefabrik, where an estimated 2000 people enjoyed listening and dancing tango right after free dancing lessons.
The style is old argentinian, even if we also play some Piazzolla, Pugliese and others.
We are always open to cultural exchanges such as concerts, records, midi files.

Six highly trained musicians, together to enjoy playing tango.
At the piano we have Robin Mattuck, refined jazz pianist has joined the group with a lot of enthusiasm, his fantasy during improvisation is necessary to the magical touch of the group itself.
At the bass Allan Krogh Hansen, wise and experienced musician provides a valid rythmical support, always open to new kinds of music is equipped with camaleontic ability.
I am the first violin, coming from classical training I always played tango and all italian popular kinds parallely in several formations, I also served one year of service in the celebrated "Forever Tango" show, where I had the wonderful opportunity of playing with excellent argentinian tango musicians, like Miguel Bertero and Lisandro Adrover.
The second violin is Ilia Skouratovskii, also classical musician, he is full of ideas, his half gipsy style contributes with colour to the purpose of the group.
Two accordeons that play like bandoneons complete the band: Tommy Slot Pedersen, a real tango freak he practises a lot providing us with a lot of energy during performances; Anders Vesterdahl, a true soloist, he fills any sort of hole that might create during the performance making of our weak points, our strong ones with creativity and good taste improvisations. All songs are arranged by me.

Eccoci qua, finalmente anche in italiano.
Questa é la pagina ufficiale del gruppo El Boliche. E' un gruppo che esegue tanghi argentini classici e moderni. Prende il nome da un tipo di locale molto in uso verso il principio del secolo nella capitale argentina, dove gli emigranti, dopo una intera giornata do lavoro si riversavano in cerca di svago. Lì imparavano a ballare il tango, ballo tipico di questi locali, dove era molte volte possibile rimediare una compagnia femminile in cambio di quei pochi soldi che guadagnavano durante il giorno.
Lo scopo del gruppo quindi é qello di ricreare questa atmosfera unica e irripetibile consentendo alle persone di ballare al suono non più di una cassetta o di un cd, bensì di una vera e propria orchestra.
Gli elementi sono tutti validissimi musicisti, e includono: Robin Mattuck (piano), Allan Krogh Hansaen (contrabasso), me stesso, Roberto Sarno e Ilia Skouratovskii (violini), Tommy Pedersen Slot e Anders Vesterdahl (fisarmoniche). Tutte le musiche sono arrangiate dal sottoscritto.
