OPERA HOUSE

This page is dedicated first to the town I was born in and love, my city of Sydney, situated on the east coast of Australia the Capitol city of the State of New South Wales.
Secondly and most importantly it is dedicated to my Dad, Sydney Joseph, who tells everyone the city was named after him......lol. He turnes 85 years young on 14th February, 2000, and still going strong and driving his car.
Sydney,
the city was founded as a penal colony on January 26th, 1788. Sydney's
harbour, Port Jackson has an area of about 21 square miles with many interesting
things to view one of which is the Sydney Opera House. This magnificient
building sits on Bennalong Point like a large Sailing sloop at anchor,with
it's roof of sails.........................
KOOKABURRA
the
happiest Aussie Bird........
The Kookaburra, or laughing jackass, as it is affectionately known.
Is a rare member of the Kingfisher family. Native to Australia it is loved by all.
Although we dread hearing it laughing in the early hours of the morning, because its laugh usually signals rain.
Also if
you are ever in Australia and out in the bush areas for a BBQ watch out
for them because they are notorious thieves and LOVE meat.

This
is Bribane Waters, at Gosford, on the Central Coast
of
New South Wales. It is approximately 90 kilometers north of Sydney and the 100 kilometers south of Newcastle. I has some of the most beautiful surfing beaches in the country situated with in an easy drive from wherever you stay here.
