Support Bands - DEFENESTRATION and NERVE
Though I got there late as although a great venue this is a bit of a shit to get to, Nerve were playing, I missed them at Brighton so here was my first taste, sounded very tight and at times reminded me a little of Green Day, liked the cover you did guy's. Defenestration or Kittie for short, I've heard this mob at Brighton and must admit there not really my cup of tea, but can the female lead singer scream, very very heavy.
Now for the main event, Therapy? rocked onto the stage and started with Gimme Back My Brain, Andy shouted 'Good Evening London how the Fuck are you' and the crowd went mad. I thought this would be one of the only Therapy? gigs I'd been to recently that I would not see any of the band members walking through the crowd, but oh, there Martin. The crowd seemed pretty hard core at this gig, and everyone looked like they had seen the band before. Stage diving turned into carnage, mike's were knocked over etc, Therapy? said they didn't mind, but they didn't want fans hanging around on stage, and anyone wearing a Linkin' Park T-Shirt would be shot, even Graham had something to say, which is most unusual, and who was the young lady who displayed her breasts to the crowd...? A few nifty intro's to a couple of songs, that I hadn't heard before were excellent, (See set-list*) and as usual I don't think anyone went away disappointed, as this lot never give anything except 100%. Loved the dedication of Teethgrinder by Andy to Father Michael McKeegan and his bizarre sexual fetishes, and how was the prat who tried to shake Graham's hand while he was playing drums duh.. Martin fucked David Beckham in the arse last night and apparently the red god was fucking rubbish...!. Graig David according to Andy calibrated with him on I Am The Money, yeah right, nice one., what a lot of interesting info you seem to pick up at Therapy? shows.
