Support Bands - White Light Motorcade + Amplifier
Support bands, White Light Motorcade reminded me of Joan Jett, well if not the music, definitely the hair styles, solid band and good performance not bad. Then came Amplifier their first song sounded Silverchair-ish, but after that the comparison ended, all other tracks sounded the same, sorry guy's but dull, and to bassy.
Therapy? hit the stage to William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini supped up maybe a little, I was already aware of most of the set-list, as standing behind the soundboard desk, I had seen a copy of Tom's the sound man's itinerary, see below, this was gonna be good, with gig finishing with 'You Are My Sunshine'. Highlights of the show for me was the variety of songs played, and how well Neil seemed to have learnt the older one's, he rocked, what a presence he has. I don't think they could have pleased a long term fan much better, both a mixture of old and new songs, played to perfection, I especially enjoying 'Moment Of Clarity' and '|Punishment Kiss', and wow, the set was long, one of the longest I can remember, thus the final song cut. Overall a super and unmissable gig, no instrument problems at all, excellent merchandise available and signed CD's aswell.
