Some facts about RANCiD you may not know:
- Both Tim and Brett are left handed.
- Lars is a girl scout den mother for the girl scouts in Berkeley.
- Brett Gurewitz(President/Owner of Epitaph) was a former guitarist for Bad Religion.
- Let's Go was recorded and mixed in 5 Days.
- Billie Joe of Greenday was in RANCiD at one time. He played one show to see if he wanted to join the band but decided not to, Lars later took his place.
- Tim and Matt have been friends for around 24 years,They've known each other since they were 5 years old. They Played in the same Little League and went to the same high school and were in all the same bands. Lars has been friends with Tim for almost as long as Brett, but not quite.
- The Song "Journey To The End Of The East Bay" is about the demise of Operation Ivy, in which both Tim and Matt played.
- Tim dosen't have a drivers license.
- RANCiD used to practice at Gilman street for free but they had to clean the toilets after Gilman Street shows.
- RANCiD has put together a side project called Shaken' 69 featuring ex Operation Ivy drummer Dave Mellos, Paul Jackson and Eric Dinn of the Uptones, and Lars Nylander and Mike Park of Skankin Pickle on Horns.
- Tim and Billie Joe Armstrong are NOT! related they are just very good friends.
- RANCiD recorded there first 7" for Lookout! Records and they also did one for Fat Wreck Chords.
- Tim has Dsylexia.
- Tim sings backup on "Television" by Bad Religion.
- Lars has produced record's for Swinging Utters.
- Tim was a roadie for M.D.C. when Matt Played bass for them.
- Jesse Michaels, the original singer of Operation Ivy, has drawn some art work for RANCiD.
- The Suicide Machines opened for RANCiD at their very first show in Detriot.
- RANCiD has played with Keaunu Reeves' band "Dogstar" at Gilman Street.
- "Get Outta My Way" on RANCiD's first album was originally by "The Uptones".
- The Spanish Hardcore Band "Union 13" covered "Roots Radicals"(on 'Let's Go') in Spanish
- Tim wrote the song "Pictures" on the Dance Hall Crashers Album "Lockjaw". He was also in the same band for a short time.
- Tim's main guitar that he is always pictured with is a "Hagstrom Hollowbody" when he is in the studio he uses a Fender Strat for the Ska parts and a Gibson Les Paul for the punk parts.
- Lars uses a Gibson Les Paul in the studio and when he's on tour he uses a Gibson Epiphone.
- Matt uses a Fender Jazz Bass.
- On H20's last album during one of the last tracks Toby jokingly dedicates a song to Lars' mom "cuz she was so good last night".
