ATTENTION CNW PATRONS,
It has come to my attention that certain people are stealing CNW's newsflashes and passing them off, word for word, as their own. If this does not stop soon, CNW will cease to provide 'N Sync fans with this vital information. This is serious. I am sick and tired of spending time and effort digging up and researching this stuff day after day to have people plagiarize from me. If you have a site or a newsletter and wish to include CNW's news, email me for permission and always site the source where you are obtaining the information. I have no problem with this. I provide you with an endless supply of 'N Sync news. I get nothing from this except the satisfaction that I am providing a useful service to keep other fans like myself informed. Have the decency to give credit where it is due. Or get off your lazy asses and do a little paraphrasing....is that so hard? Otherwise you won't have CNW news to copy anymore.
I repeat: CNW will no longer provide 'N Sync news if this shameless behavior on the part of a few people continues. You know who your are. For those to whom this does not apply, I apologize and thank you for continued support. If you see CNW news items anywhere else on the internet, please don't hesitate to report the occurrence to me at crunknsync@netzero.net.
Sincerely,
Jesse
P.S. If you've been copying off any aspect of this site, I'm expecting an apology.

'N Sync
'N Concert PPV Concert
Buena Vista Television and WAM! America's
Kidz Network present "'N Sync 'N Concert" on Saturday, Sept. 11 at
8 p.m. ET/PT. The 75-minute concert event, sponsored by Oxy, marks the first
nationally televised broadcast of the band's current live show.
"'N Sync 'N Concert" will be taped in Fort Lauderdale on July 2, and will showcase all of the exciting elements of an 'N Sync live performance: the band's signature harmonies, slick choreography and spectacular special effects, in addition to such hits as "I Want You Back," "Tearin' Up My Heart" and "(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You."
In addition to the performance, Pay-Per-View watchers will be able to get up close and personal with band members Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone Jr., Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlake during a free half-hour countdown show preceding the concert. "*N Sync 'N Concert" will be available through DIRECTV and EchoStar direct broadcast satellite providers, and Viewer's Choice, TVN and DIVA programming services, with a suggested retail price of $19.95. It will repeat at various times on the cable and satellite providers through Sept. 30, 1999.
'N Sync exploded onto the domestic music scene in 1998. Their breakout Disney Channel concert in July 1998 helped to catapult their self-titled debut album to platinum status and to the top of the charts, where it has remained ever since. Since then, the band has become a phenomenon, with two Top-10 albums, a best-selling book and their current tour, which has played to sold-out audiences across the country.
'"'N Sync 'N Concert'' will be produced by
Automatic Productions for Buena Vista Television and WAM! The executive producer
is Johnny Wright, president/chief executive officer of Wright Entertainment
Group, and the director is Larry Jordan.

According to a Media Metrix study conducted

Children's
Miracle Network
The single most successful fund raising event in television
history -- CMN Champions -- took place in Orlando last weekend, raising an unprecedented
$192,445,835 to help 14 million kids. Broadcast by Children's Miracle Network
(CMN) on June 5-6, CMN Champions reached more than 100 million television households
throughout North America.
Thrilling viewers with classics like "Lady,'' and "Come Sail Away,'' legendary rock group Styx made CMN Champions the first stop in their 1999 United States reunion tour. Hosted by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young, ESPN and ABC Sports reporter Robin Roberts, Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton, and NFL Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen, this television special featured All-Star sporting events and musical performances by top recording artists Celine Dion, Amy Grant, 'N Sync, Kenny Loggins, LeAnn Rimes and others.
Donations to CMN come from corporate sponsors and individuals, and 100 percent of the money goes to help children at participating hospitals in the area where the money was raised. Fund raising activities are held throughout the year, culminating with the 21-hour CMN Champions broadcast from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Viewers responded generously, as they have for the past 16 years, helping CMN raise more money for kids than ever before. This year's tally exceeded last year's record-breaking success by more than $20 million.
The non-profit hospitals associated
with CMN care for all children with any affliction, including cancer, pediatric
AIDS, muscular dystrophy and traumatic injuries. These children's hospitals
depend on public support. CMN Champions make it possible for the community to
donate necessary funding to maintain and upgrade the hospital's programs.

Justin and Britney Sittin'
In A Tree
At the moment it seems that 'N Sync's fans
have quite a scandal on their hands. Despite incessant denials on the
side of both parties, the evidence supporting the contrary is enough to create
more than the shadow of a doubt. Understandably, pop acts have been
known to be bound by contract to a variety of restrictions on their personal
lives, some of which might include the admission of such an "unpopular"
relationship. Fans must remember that these guys deserve to be able to
live their own lives how they choose, without any kind of judgement from any
of us. With that in mind, CNW presents the following evidence for your perusal:
Exhibit A:
From
Seventeen Magazine: "Coordinating schedules to create private time
is hard in any relationship, but when you're both super-busy pop stars it's
even harder. Maybe that's why real-life lovebirds Britney Spears and 'N Sync's
Justin Timberlake decided to tour together this summer. Our spies tell us that
the pair was spotted conducting a quick make-out session outside a trailer during
a recent show for Boston radio station Kiss 108." thanks
to nsync nsanity
Exhibit B:
In reference to the issue of Big magazine in question (see also: Danielle
Fishel Tells All - June 9), a London informant revealed to CNW that the
interview was, in fact, published but admits that the UK publication does not
have the reputation of being a very accurate source of information. Our
informant has talked to a few people connected to the magazine and while in
general some of the information in the publication is correct, a lot of it is
not.
Exhibit C:
"I have some depressing news about Justin and Britney. On the radio this
morning (Fly92) they said that at a concert, Britney denied dating Justin Timberlake,
but later they were found "heavily groping each other" backstage." thanks
to Lucy, Thursday, June 10
Exhibit D:
It's not just the pop world. A comedic segment of the late night variety
show Late Night with Conan O'Brien entitled "If They Mated"
aired in the wee hours of June 11. Celebrity couples that have been spotted
dating each other were featured, and graphics analysts took stills of each celebrity
and created comical, grotesque-looking offspring. Justin Timberlake and
Britney Spears were among the couples featured, and I have to admit that their
"child" was one fugly lookin' thing!

Aussie
Interview Postponed

Triple
Whammy!
The name of the group I am writing and
producing with is...Cassiopeia!
There is a double 'N Sync connection...Chris' sister Emily is one of 5 members in the group, and his mother, Bev, is involved in managing and vocal coaching them as well...actually, now with my involvement, there's a triple 'N Sync connection.
Right now we're still in the process of writing and selecting songs. These five girls are very talented, and I'm sure you're going to be hearing much more about them in the near future. I've been working in the studio a lot, which is why I haven't come on to answer many posts lately. But I'll continue to keep you updated on what happens with the group...and I promise to be a little less cryptic from now on (it was kinda fun driving everyone crazy though!).
Bye for now,
Dax
Glad they're
not my Offspring...
The opening of the Offspring's concerts
doesn't show much respect for kids of the '90s. Five singers come out harmonizing
and then Offspring boots them offstage. Is it supposed to be the Backstreet
Boys or 'N Sync? 'It depends on what mood we're in,' Holland says. 'They're
really interchangeable. You can throw in 98 Degrees too. I can't really tell
them apart. The point is not about them specifically, but a vibe of that prefabricated
music that you go down to Florida to learn how to do.' thanks
to nsync nsanity

The Old
and The Beautfiul
'N Sync swings de-vine-ly on the new 'Tarzan'
soundtrack. Phil Collins tells EW Online about recording with the fab fivesome.
When Phil Collins recruited 'N Sync to sing on the just-released soundtrack
for the upcoming Disney animated adventure ''Tarzan'' (opening June 18), half
the pleasure was for the bragging rights it allowed him with his 10-year-old
daughter.''It's her favorite band,'' Collins tells EW
Online. ''I had gotten her tickets to one of their concerts before they were
(set to sing) on the record. And two weeks later I said, 'Guess who I'M working
with.'''
Collins teamed with the harmonizing heartthrobs
for the soundtrack-only a cappella version of ''Trashin' the Camp.'' ''My daughter
came with me to the sessions, and it was like meeting the Beatles,'' laughs
Collins, adding in a preteen swoony falsetto, '''Oh, Chris (Kirkpatrick, of
'N Sync)!''' Having his daughter there wasn't the only thing making Collins,
a 30-year veteran of the music business, feel like a father figure. ''I felt
a little bit like their dad, to be honest,'' he says. ''I felt a little awkward
until Chris said to me, 'You know, this is very strange for me. The first record
I bought was ''No Jacket Required,'' and here I am singing with you.' And suddenly
I felt... well, I still felt like his dad, but I felt okay."

What
the hell are we trying to save? Echo, echo...
The guys of 'N Sync delivered impressive
performances in their debut comedy roles as the guys trying to save the world
in Armagedd'N Sync, especially JC and Justin. They've all improved a lot
since Clueless, a good sign for 'N Sync's movie to be shot in the fall.

Is
the rumor that you’re dating Lance from 'N Sync true?
Yeah, it is. We’ve been dating for a few months now and it’s going good.
How do you cope
with dating a boy whose picture is on girls’ walls all over the world?
I don’t really think about it. It’s kind of flattering. I know he’s wanted by
millions! [laughs] That’s cool. We actually have the same fan base-they’re all
the same age. I love his fans, they’re awesome. 'N Sync has got the best fans.
Do you get to
see him that often?
Yes I do. We travel back and forth to see each other a lot.
Britney Spears is
dating 'N Sync’s Justin Timberlake- have you ever double-dated?
[shocked pause] Erm, how did you guys know that Justin was dating Britney? That’s
really funny. It thought it was really hush-hush! Yeah, actually me and Lance
and Britney and Justin have double-dated. We went out to eat one night. But
it’s hard for us to see our boyfriends as often as we do anyway, so we rarely
see them together. We just happened to be in LA together one time and we went
out. All the guys and their girlfriends, we all hang out.
It sounds like
you’re a bit of a pop queen.
Yeah, I was never into it before. I’m all about rap and hip-hop. But now I really
enjoy pop music and my favorite bands are 'N Sync, 98 Degrees and Five. I’m
really good friends with 98 Degrees and obviously I’m close with 'N Sync-they’re
some of the most talented people. They’re awesome. I have all their CDs and
I really like listening to them. Not because I’m friends with them, I would
have their CDs if I didn’t know them.
Five and B*Witched
have been over in the States recently. Do you know them?
I’m actually friends with B*Witched. They went on tour with 'N Sync and I met
them after one of their LA shows. We went to this restaurant over the street
called the Country Star and I got to hang out with them a little bit. They were
very sweet. I’ve never met Five but I know a lot about them. Do you get recognized
a lot? Yeah, I do. I’ve just come back from Cancun [Mexico] with Lance and we
kept getting recognized there. It was crazy.

Lance,
Will You Sign This?

who is Teen People magazine's most wanted person to sign a yearbook? 'N Sync's
own Lance Bass.

Jennifer
Lopez Manager Amid Controversy
Bathroom or Dressing Room? By Dina
Sansing, Seventeen.
Taking his cue from the Incredible Hulk, Jennifer Lopez's manager Benny Medina gave new meaning to the phrase "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." When Benny found out Jen was given a dressing room smaller than 'N Sync at this week's Blockbuster Awards, he used an interesting tactic to express his dismay. Just minutes before the show, the music manager stormed into the boy band's quarters and insisted that everyone get out, then proceeded to urinate everywhere when they refused.
At least that was the rumor buzzing around at the
show on Tuesday. According to the New York Post, Benny denies the entire incident
-- big surprise there -- and has spent much time since trying to clear the air.
Medina told the Post, "I really don't know how this got so blown out of
proportion. I had to go to the bathroom very badly and I used the one in 'N
Sync's dressing room." That's when Benny says the stylist for the boy band
came in and demanded that he leave. "I told her it was a little late [to
stop] and said I would be done in a minute, if she'd just close the door. The
only thing I'm guilty is the very simple usage of an 'N Sync toilet." There's
no word on whether Jennifer -- who's been trying to clean up her spoiled-diva
image -- will, ahem, relieve Ben of his duties following the embarrassing incident.

FuManSkeeto Update
While on hiatus in Los Angeles, 'N Sync's Chris Kirkpatrick
happened to hear himself on KIIS FM last night as a voice in Danielle Fishel's
head in a comedic clip as Danielle took over as guest DJ for a night for JoJo
on the Radio. As he was cruising around town and heard the bit and had
to call in to the station. Danielle and Chris's brief conversation revealed
some news concerning Chris's up until now rather secretive project, the FuManSkeeto
clothing line. According to Chris, the guys in the group had been toying
with the idea of a clothing line for some time, but that he was the first to
jump on the idea and breathe life into it. In the three or four days the
guys have free, Chris has been hard at work designing, but the effort has been
progressing for eight months and will be released in the summer. Wearing
one of Chris's creations at the moment, Danielle offered high praise for FuManSkeeto,
and Chris admitted that all of the guys have been extremely supportive. Chris
mentioned that the official site will be undergoing changes, and that it is
possible that FuManSkeeto will be available from there in the future.

Album
Rumors
'N
Sync fans are abuzz with talk that the sophomore album entitled Streets
will be released on October 26. Although CNW has contacted sources
as to the veracity of these rumors and is awaiting confirmation, it is important
to note that nothing has yet been confirmed by 'N Sync or their management. A
late October release date may be feasible, but it is the opinion of this webmaster
that a final decision on the title this early in the process is unlikely.
The boys of 'N Sync, after all, still have a solid month of recording time for
the record preceding their summer tour.
Goodbye,
Dax
Hi everyone,
I have some news for all of you, and I guess the best way is to just
tell you outright: I have resigned my position as a keyboardist in the 'N Sync
band. It was a very difficult decision for me, and not one that I came to easily.
I'm leaving the tour to devote more time to songwriting, producing, recording...and
hopefully to finish school eventually. As some of you know, I've been offered
the opportunity to work with Jude Cole (a great singer/songwriter and one of
my main musical inspirations) on his upcoming new album. The time frame for
that project interferes with the summer 'N Sync tour. My decision to leave the
group was even more difficult personally than professionally. JC, Lance, Chris,
Justin and Joey...I'm proud to call these five guys my friends. I will miss
working with them more than even I know. We've spent nearly two years together.
As one of the original members of the first 'N Sync band, I was just 19 when
we went to Germany for the first "live band" tour. It's been great doing the
shows, seeing different parts of the country and meeting so many of you guys.
I don't mind continuing to answer questions about my experiences with 'N Sync,
but I can't help you out with tour dates and schedules anymore, sorry! I have
some really exciting projects coming up, and I hope you'll check back here once
in a while to see what's going on. Thanks for all your support and friendship.
God bless, Dax

I don't even know where to begin. What? DaxMom
speechless? That's a first!
Your responses to Dax's announcement have absolutely overwhelmed
me! I have read many of your messages with tears in my eyes and a catch in my
throat. And, then when I read Candi's "slap me silly and call me a backstreet
boy" I had to laugh out loud! You guys are truly the best fans, no...friends
that Dax could have. Thank you all so much for your heartfelt messages of support.
You have no idea how much each and every message means to us. I'm amazed at
the outpouring of feelings that you have posted here. I am most surprised that
almost all the responses are supportive of Dax's decision, though understandably,
a little sad that he won't be onstage with 'N Sync anymore. I'm very impressed
with the maturity and insight that has been communicated through your comments.
In answer to many of your questions about this messageboard...yes, it will remain
as long as anyone has anything to say. It's become a meeting place for friends
and hopefully that will continue. The good news is that Dax will have more time
to spar with you guys online, the bad news is he won't be able to give you any
news about 'N Sync (darn, it's always something isn't it?)! We are hoping to
have Dax's website online sometime in July and the messageboard (this one or
a new one) will be linked to it. Thanks again to all of you for taking the time
to respond to Dax's anouncement. He's going to be shocked when he reads all
the messages here. It may sound like the end of something, but it's really the
beginning. Dax will miss the guys terribly, but feels he's made the right decision.
Life is full of choices, and knowing exactly when to make your move is one of
the toughest. One of Jude Cole's songs is called, "move if you're goin'"...maybe
it was just time for Dax to "get goin!'"
