Team
'N Sync Worldwide Premieres
A message from Team 'N Sync:
You are cordially
invited to attend...
Activities commence promptly at 9 pm pst on 16 July 1999 with our first scheduled
chat.
WHO: 'N Sync fans everywhere
WHAT: Premiere of Team 'N Sync
WHEN: 16 July 1999 @ 9 PM PST
WHERE: http://come.to/teamnsync
WHY: If you're an 'N Sync fan, you've got to be here!
We know you've been seeing our promo logos everywhere. Soon you'll be able to
find out what everyone has been talking about, and witness the unveiling of
the most secretive and most exclusive 'N Sync project ever. Hope to see
you here!!
Possible
Release Dates
A new rumored release date
for the 'N Sync sophomore record is said to be October 12, two weeks earlier
than the previously stated October 26 date. The change is said however
only to affect the United States; the October 26 release date will hold for
most worldwide markets.
Get
'N Touch
There's a new section up at the official site: 'N Touch.
Want to know what your favorite guys are up to? We've got the inside track on
what's going on! Our reporter Melinda is on the road and in touch with our boys
and is going to share the who's who and what's what of life on the road with
NSYNC. Check back often and we'll keep you 'NTouch!
'N
Sync 'N Dependent
Another rumor that has been
floating around:
OK, do NOT quote me on this until an official statement has been
made, but I've heard from EXCELLENT sources who have talked to Lance himself
that 'N Sync is going independent. Supposedly, their contract with Lou Pearlman
and Johnny Wright (ie: Transcon and Wright Stuff Entertainment) are up, and
'N Sync are going to manage themselves and possibly start their own company.
However, until it is officially stated, take it as a possible truth. I *stress*
though that this was a mutual agreement (if it is indeed happening) and there
will be no lawsuits or hard feelings. The guys seem very close to Johnny, and
I'm sure he will still be a HUGE part of the group even if this news is true.
CNW wishes to reiterate that this a rumor, and a rather incredulous one at that. As it is, the boys are being worked to their breaking point; for them to manage themselves and possibly even start their own company seems ludicrous. Furthermore, Lou and Johnny are not stupid -- with 'N Sync's huge success in the US and their popularity growing in other international markets, don't you think that somewhere along the line they would've asked the guys to renew this contract? 'N Sync's not stupid either -- the guys know how to perform. They can sing and dance their hearts out, but when it comes to management, let's face it -- they don't know all the tricks of the trade. With their careers booming, who in thier right mind would think of jeopardizing their future with amature, mediocre at best managment? So CNW bids you beware: don't believe everything you see out there.
Dax
to Work on Upcoming PSA
Since the band keyboardist Dax left the
band, he has been busy working with his idol Jude Cole and Chris' sister's group
Cassiopeia. Dax is also writing the music for a public service announcement
that will feature 'N Sync. The topic of th PSA is yet to be known. In related
news, Cassiopeia's official site can be found at: cassio5.com.
FuManSkeeto
Expansion
The multi-talented Chris Kirkpatrick's independent project
FuManSkeeto Enterprises now includes FuManSkeeto Productions in addition to
the clothing line of the same name. FuMan Skeeto Productions will be launching
their website off of the main page of the current fumanskeeto.com.
FuMan Skeeto Productions is run by FuMan Skeeto Enterprises and will be responsible
for producing new and talented artists. FuManSkeeto clothing will first be available
online and will make its way to stores in the US, Europe, and Japan. Canada
will follow soon after. 'N Sync will be modeling Chris' work throughout the
summer tour. You can look for FuManSkeeto email, chat, and newsletter coming
soon to fumanskeeto.com.
Five
Bad Boys with the power to lip sync...
It is confirmed that Five is no longer part of the Boys
Of Summer tour. Management claims the cancellation is due to the need to promote
the new single in the UK. Apparently, Five also said that they didn't
do it because they couldn't get the set they wanted and when they started out
they said they would never support anyone anyway. Interesting
to note that they didn't think of their silly egos in not wanting to open for
anyone when they joined the tour and when tickets to all of the shows went on
sale. Curiosity still abounds surrounding the lip synching rumors. CNW
will leave it up to you to decide.
Surprise
Opening Act
On July 2 taping of the Pay Per View concert
in Ft. Lauderdale, a surprise opening act dropped in: Just-in Time Management
artists Innosense.
Tour
Cut Short
If you haven't already noticed,
the dates following the September 4 show in Toronto, shows
in Canada, California, and Nevada, have been cancelled due to a management decision
to cut the summer tour shot in preparation for promotion abroad in Brazil, Europe,
and Southeast Asia.
IDMC
Retired from TRL
I Drive Myself Crazy was
retired on July 1 from Total Request Live, MTV's hour-and-a-half top ten video
countdown. Chris Kirkpatrick called in to see the video off. Interestingly
enough, didn't even know the title of his own song, the duet with Gloria Estefan,
Music of My Heart, the movie of which has apparently been changed to
match the title of the song. He mentioned a new opening act for the summer
tour: the Sugar Hill Gang -- was he kidding? With Chris you never can
tell...
Calling
all Fans!
CNW apologizes for the delay, but MTV
is desperately searching for three obsessed NSYNC fans to share their ultimate

Lance
and Justin Drop in on Miss Britney's Show
On June 29, self-proclaimed
teen diva Britney Spears kicked off her first headlining tour last night in
Pompano Beach, Fl. She was joined by two special surprise guests -- none other
than her 'N Sync buddies Justin and Lance!

The
Music of My Heart Release Dates
CNW
was among the first to inform you about the 'N Sync/Gloria Estefan collaboration
for title track of the film The Music of My Heart. The song was written
by the Grammy-winning Diane Warren and produced by David Foster and is described
as "an inspirational ballad with lyrics that capture a range of feelings and
emotions." It will be distributed to radio in the second week of July; the commerical
single will be available on August 3. The entire soundtrack will be released
on Epic on September 14 and will contain both the original version of the song
and a remix by Emilio Estefan. The video was shot on June 27th and 28th
at the Miami High School gymnasium. The movie was directed by Wes Craven and
is
due out October 15. The Music of My Heart tells the real-life
story of Roberta Guaspari, a violin teacher in East Harlem, New York.

Opening
Acts Abound...
With
so many opening acts for 'N Sync's summer tour emerging, CNW will attempt to
provide you with an updated list of acts. Five is rumored to have dropped out
of the lineup as a result of their now being allowed to lip sync their portion
of the show. CNW is neither able to confirm nor deny these rumors, but it is
interesting to note that the British boyband did lip sync their entire Disney
concert special. Other than that, the scheduled opening acts are: Jordan Knight,
Michael Africk, Blaque, Mandy Moore, Billy Crawford, Before Dark, and Inoj.
Pending release schedules, another possible opening act is Josh
Keaton, formerly of No Authority, who's venturing out on a solo career.
UPN Extravaganza
'N
Sync, Wild Orchid, Tyrese, 98°, Blaque, Britney Spears, and B*witched will all
perform on Monday August 9th, 1999 at the Universal Amphitheater. It will be
televised on UPN August 31st at 8:00 pm. You can check out the August issue
of YM to win $10,000 and lots of other prizes just for knowing your boyband
trivia, and gt those vital tips for dating the boyband hunk of your dreams.
'N
Sync To Tour Abroad
International fans beware! 'N Sync will be doing some promo
tours in Europe and Southeast Asia. Check the new tour dates. The
boys will also be touring in Brazil in the fall, after the U.S. album release.
This is what Team 'N Sync Worldwide is all about y'all.
I
Drive Myself Crazy TRL Retirement
'N
Sync's current video on TRL is will be retired on Thursday, June 1. But there
is something we can do. 'N Sync has a video out in Europe called "You Drive
Me Crazy" and MTV has given us permission to vote for the video on Total Request
Live. On July 5, vote for this video many many times. You can do this by going
to the MTV website, then clicking shows at the top of the page, then clicking
on Total Request Live from the list of shows on the left column. Click on Play
My Song. Scroll to the bottom of the list of songs to type in a song in the
"other" category, write in the name on the song and the artist, write a comment,
write your name and state, then click enter. Pass this to all the *N SYNC fans
you know.

'N
Sync Goes Wild in the Wild West
According
to Yahoo! news:
On June 28, a dazzling array of stars and celebrities attended the world premiere
of Wild Wild West, which opens in the U.S. this weekend. 'N Sync
joined the film's stars Will Smith, Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branaugh, and Salma
Hayek and other celebrity guests including the likes of Vivica A. Fox, Kobe
Bryant, Carmen Electra, Samuel L. Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Magic Johnson
at the Los Angeles event.
Now either the news brief was incorrect, or the guys of 'N Sync have doubles
running around because it's known that 'N Sync was shooting the video for The
Music of My Heart in Miami that day and has been in Florida for the past
couple of days.

Jack
Of All Trades Filming
On
June 22, a thousand extras were present at the L.A. Sports Arena for the taping
of a scene for Jack of All Trades, the new TransCon movie in the making
featuring a variety TransCon artists in cameo roles. Although 'N Sync's fans
showed up, 'N Sync itself was not present at the taping. CNW was aware of this
event prior to it occurrence and posessed a contact phone number but was under
obligation to its source not to reveal the information. But now that it's over,
no more hush-hush.
The guys of 'N Sync all make cameos in the film: Joey and JC are pizza makers;
Chris is a klepto stealing pizza and utensils off Alexis', the main character's,
table; Lance is a passenger on a plane.
Missy's
Supa Dupa Fly Wish List
Ricky
Martin, Michael Jackson, 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys -- what's the connection?
The're all on Missy Elliot's wish list for collaborators! And with 'N Sync's
new record in the making, a get together is possible... With 'N Sync's great
vocals and dancing and Missy's phat beats, that would make a killer video!

Cassiopeia

them at:

Casseopeia's Emily is Chris' sister, is managed by Chris' mother,
and is also connected to the band's former keyboardist Dax. From left to right:
Emily, Ashley, Jennifer, Lindsay, and Moraima.

Here's what Dax's mom had to say about the girls:
"From what I know, Emily (Chris' sister) formed the group about
three or four months ago. They lost one of their members (to college) just after
recording their demo CD. They replaced her about a month or so ago. They have
signed with an LA manager, and are close to signing with a major label. They
are a real group, just very new...but many people outside this messageboard
have already heard of them. I've been told their name is all over the AOL 'N
Sync messageboard too. Naturally there's going to be a curiosity about any group
formed by an 'N Sync sibling--but that's only a door opener. They'll have to
keep that door open with their own talent and ability. I think they can do it,
but they won't have as much time as 'N Sync did to get performance experience
before being introduced to the US. However, there is more of an acceptance in
the US for pop groups now than there was when 'N Sync formed. They'll need all
the fan support you guys can give because what they're doing is not easy, and
downright impossible without support. They seem very humble and so appreciative
of their fans. I haven't seen any "prima donna" attitudes and I don't think
Bev would allow that anyway! Bev, Emily's mom, is their vocal coach and creative
director. She contacted Dax about doing songwriting/producing for the group.
Two of the girls are strong lyric writers and Dax has co-written with them,
and produced the music for their new demo. Right now he is working on additional
music for their upcoming album."
Phil
Collins on 'N Sync
USA
Weekend recently interviewed Phil Collins. When they asked his thoughts on 'N
Sync, this is what he had to say: "They're far more talented then 'this year's
thing.' They have great voices. But their fans are young fans. Young fans don't
have the loyalty that the older fans do." If you know much about Phil Collins,
you know what a big compliment that is. from

World Cup Wrap-Up
At the US-Denmark Women's World Cup
match, the huge crowd, which included United Nations secretary-general Kofi
Annan, New Jersey Governor Christine Whitman and Pele, soccer's biggest star,
was entertained by the pop group 'N Sync before the game. Other than Hamm's
goal, the singers drew the loudest cheers through the opening half.
