LOVE IS THE WORD

I been around, I been up, I been down
I been knocked around before
But lately I see I was born to be free
It was me that wasn't looking for more
And it was there right in front of me
But I was just too blind to see Jesus
The King of the land
But He let me know, and oh brother
Did He show me some things
You need to understand

CHORUS
You gotta live, give, love and trust
Oh, ashes to ashes and dust to dust
He'll bring you home
Just believe what you heard
Oh, Jesus is the Lord, and love is the word

Sometimes I'm just sitting here
Thinking that I just don't care
Don't really want to take the time
To give some of me just to help you to see
That you can be free alright!
He shows me what I'm doing
How to fix it or to ruin it
But tries to lead me on the right way
So what else can I do, I try to be to be true to You
Lord I do, and listen to the things that You say

I'll follow You through this broken world
I'll give You all I got
I look up there, and I know that You care
Even though You put me on th spot!

You never said it would be easy
When the devil comes to tease me
And he's knocking around my door
But he can just keep knockin'
Because we got this place rockin'
And loving You is so much more!
And then Heaven's gonna come down
Gonna see the Lord, He's coming 'round
To take us to our home in His heart
And I can't wait any longer
Because I feel it growing stronger
And I know in the end we'll never be apart!

STAND TALL

Oh Lord, we love You
Holy is your name
Lamb of God, Messiah, You're so Holy
Oh, so Holy
Make me the same!

CHORUS
Stand tall, live right
Love the Lord your God with all your might
And when it all has got you backed up
Against the wall, you won't fall
If you stand tall

Oh Lord, we praise You
You lead us through the dark
Oh Lord, You're faithful
To a trusting heart, a forgiving soul
Lord, make me whole

We need Your love, we need Your serving soul
We need to die to us for You to make us whole

Oh Lord, we need you
We need You by our side
Oh Lord, just hold me, 'cause You told me
Yeah, You told me
For me You died

THE DEVIL HAS BEEN BEAT

We know two-thousand years ago
He died to set us free
Free to live and love for Him
To keep our eyes on eternity
But sometimes our sight grows dim
Oh the world's a wicked place
But through the fog and the shadows here
Turn to Him and see His face

CHORUS
I know it's hard to believe it
When the killing just goes on in the street
But you can count on this, 'cause God promises
The devil has been beat

But you turn on the evening news
And hear about another cut down
And we start to wander away
To turn our eyes from the kingdom's crown
But even though you can't see it yet
Just remember what Jesus said
There's a heaven just waiting for you
Don't you believe it when they tell you
It's all in your head

It's gonna be such a beautiful place
No pain, no sin, no hate
I live to see what He's preparing for me
And when I remember His grace
Oh, I know I won't be late

Well, no man knows the time or the place
But that don't matter to me
'Cause though the killing field continues to grow
I know He's coming back for us eventually

OH LORD

Oh Lord, mighty God
Power, praise, and glory to Your holy name
Oh Lord, Prince of Peace
Today, tomorrow, You're always just the same

CHORUS
Jesus, how can I thank you
But to give up my life
For the blood you chose to spill?
Jesus, how can I thank you
But to give up my life to Your will

Oh Lord, mighty God
Meeting all Your children's needs
Within Your perfect grace
Oh Lord, lamb of God
You are so beautiful
I long to see Your face

You showed us all how much we mean to You
So help me show my love with everything I do

Oh Lord, Hallelujah
I want to praise Your name for all you've given me
Oh Lord, how I thank you
'Cause with Your spirit in my heart, Oh Lord
I know I'm truly free!

RESCUE ME

Tommy works in the record store
Says he loves Jesus
He carries on living day by day
Then finds it's easy to turn away
But as he turns He begins to see
He's been surrounded by darkness
So he drops to his knees and he cries
Lord, please rescue me, rescue me- Bring me

CHORUS
Out of the darkness and into the light
Help me to rely on You to show me what is right
Please take away my doubts and help me to see
How You lead me out of the darkness

And Annie, well, she drinks a lot
She's heard of Jesus
But she carries on living day by day
Don't understand why he's hit her that way
'Cause she knows that she's lonely
She's found her answer in a glass
But deep in her heart she's crying out
Rescue me, rescue me!

Don't let the pain push Him away
Don't let the hate get in your heart

But we still live from inside ourselves
And say we love Jesus
We see the pain around us every day
Then break His heart as we turn away
'Cause if you listen you can hear them cry
Maybe it's right next door, while you think of you
You know, they're crying too
Rescue me, rescue me!

FORGIVE ME AGAIN

I wake up in the morning and I always seem to find
There's not enough of heaven's thoughts runnin' through my mind
And when I let it start that way, well it always seems to me
The day is never quite as good as it could be 'cause

CHORUS
I need you, Jesus to free me from my sin
Oh, I need you, Jesus to forgive me...again

And even when I start the day down upon my knees
Sometimes I find when I look inside it's me I try to please
I turn my head, though I've heard it said
Not to turn to left or right
Because when I turn my eyes from You
Is when I start to lose the fight

I'm so glad you take me as I am, and You forgive me, Lord
Oh again, and again, and again
Because even though You know I want to be like You
Sometimes I try to run and hide, but Your love comes shining through

And at the end of the day when I look back and see
The times I broke Your heart when You died to set me free
I come before You, Lord on my knees to pray
Forgive me Father...Oh, all I want to say

NEVER ALONE

There are times late at night when I feel
There's too much here for me to fight, I forget I'm never alone
And sometimes it's hard to see that there's a man who came here
Just to die for me, and I can't do it on my own

CHORUS
But I'm never alone, He is there just to help me through it
Never alone, So whatever He tells me I just to do it
Because He promised me, Oh He promised me
I said He promised me I'm never alone

Life gets hard, it moves so fast I forget that though I change
He's built to last, Oh He always stays the same
And He let's me know when I forget that Jesus's love
Is this world's only winning bet, Oh there's power in His name

So just stop when you're spinning, the battle has been won
The devil, Oh he's falling to Heaven's perfect, Son
And guess who's gonna win it!

So next time you feel beat turn to Him and
He will put you on your feet, Oh you know He can do it
And when you're overcome with fear
Just remember that He said He's always near
To help you through it, Oh He'll help you throught it

LEAN ON JESUS

You're not the problem solver, You're not the one
You're just the means to the beginning of the rising Son
You're not the power my friend yet you still try
To live in your own strength instead of just enjoying the ride

CHORUS
Jesus is ther to lean on with strength of purity
The One, the Risen Son who rose to set you free
But when He died He chose to live inside your dying soul
So lean on Jesus, Lean on Jesus...and be whole

You're just an old tin can filled with holy wine
You're just a candlelight in Jesus' grand design
So when you're crying out for a little peace
Look to Him who forgave your sin and set you on your feet

Don't take for granted what He's given you
Take the seed He planted, let Him follow through
And you know He will

You're not the problem solver, Just lead them home
Love them, be there for them, show them the love you've known
You cannot stop their sin, only the Lord can convict a heart
So just plant the seed my friend, and let Jesus do His part

HE'LL LET YOU KNOW

Do you ever feel sometimes the world is falling in all around you?
Do you ever wonder why although you try
You don't know how He found you

CHORUS
Well I been there, I been there but you know what
He's been there too, And He knows the situation, He knows
Where it will go so you love Jesus, He'll let you know

It's a tricky life the job, the kids, the wife
Hard to find time for Jesus, but it's such a shame
When you choose to blame the wrong one for the pain you're feeling
Oh, the pain you're feeling

Don't you know He loves you so , so much more than any other
And all He wants to see is all that you can be
So love your sister, love your brother

Do you ever feel sometimes His love just isn't what you're feeling?
So open up look up give up yourself to the power of His healing
Oh, the power of His healing

HOW LONG?

How long will you wait?
How long will you leave your life to fate?
It's not by chance that I'm singing you this song
Oh, Jesus loves you and true love's never wrong

CHORUS He cries for you don't you know it
He wants to help you through, He wants to save your soul
And no one knows you better, no one loves you more
So come to Jesus, just open the door

How long will you weep?
How long will you lie there fast asleep?
Oh, you know He's real, it's the world that's just a lie
Oh, Jesus love syou enough to die

Oh, don't you turn His love away
For tomorrow may be too late
Oh, won't you just give Him all your love
Oh, don't you understand
He'll give you so much more

How long will you wait?
How long will you turn your eyes away?
Do you ever wonder deep down in your soul
Oh, does He love me? Can He make me whole?
Can He make me whole?

THE LAMB WAS SLAIN

They come in to Jerusalem
Cheers were all around
The King of Kings was coming to His throne
But just a short week later jeers were all He found
The Son of Man was dying there alone

CHORUS
The Lamb was slain, The Lamb was slain
Thank God

They came into His garden
And the Lord sat down to pray
Said to his friends I'm feeling so low I could die
Stay awake and pray with me
I need you by my side
Keep watch for the time is drawing nigh

Oh, Father, take away this cup from me
If there's any other way
The Lord cried out, 'yet not my will but thine'
Then He woke his friends up
They couldn't even stay awake
To watch God's plan unfold before their eyes

Judas kissed His face and said, 'Hey Rabbi'
The guards stepped in and took Him into chains
His friends all ran away afraid to face the day
Afraid to face the pain

They did what they had to do to make it all legit
Then they beat the King of Heaven's throne
And with the blood of the covenant
Still on Pilates' whip
They marched Him up the hill again alone
And as the nails went through His hands
He cried out in pain, They raised Him up
And gambled off His clothes
Death without dignity for God's most holy Son
Forsaken by the very ones He chose

Forgive them, Father
For they know not what they do
Compassion as the pain tore Him apart
And when I saw just what it was
That Jesus had been through
I died inside, now He lives in my heart
