MP3 and CDR Beginners Guide

Grateful Dead Productions recently issued a policy statement which expressly sanctioned the trading of MP3 files containing live music by the Grateful Dead. Other bands which allow tape trading seem to be allowing it also, but so far none (that I know of) have officially said so. Of course the trading of copyrighted material, including live Dead recordings that have been released is strictly illegal.

This has come along with a flood of questions about how to make your own CDs from MP3 etc. I have done over 100 CDs from MP3 source material. This page contains much of the information I have gathered. I hope to be able to add more soon.
