After 15
years, "Graceful
Inheritance" remains the highest rated album in the history of
Germany's ROCK
HARD magazine
"Graceful Inheritance" was released in Europe in January of 1986.
Rave reviews from Germany's ROCK HARD, France's ENFER, and The Netherlands'
AARDSCHOK magazines helped propel the group's promotion. In May, 1986,
Heir Apparent embarked on a European Tour sponsored by Germany's METAL HAMMER magazine.
With continuing sales, Black Dragon released "Graceful
Inheritance" on CD in October 1986.
The first CD ever released by an Independent Label in Europe.
The Hard Rock/Heavy Metal media consensus established "Graceful
Inheritance" as
Europe's debut album of the year for 1986.
The 2000 reissue contains bonus tracks of Paul Davidson's
recordings with the band in early 1987,
"Tomorrow Night" and "We, The People", with Mike Jackson on keyboards, and Randy Nelson playing bass.
The Hellion CD features one of the original watercolor concepts and band logo created by Matt Bazemore in 1985.
A future pressing will include the Bazemore oil painting featured in the far right photo above.
