The Ultra-Fi Webring

Personal explorations in high fidelity audio reproduction

The Ultra-Fi webring is intended to unite web sites about the modern world of tube audio. Emphasis is on the retro-modern movement of the last decade - single-ended amps, directly heated triode tubes, no negative feedback, etc, as well as alternative speaker designs like theatre horns and full-range drivers. The Ultra-fi movement is marked by a strong DIY emphasis, and a rejection of the pseudo-science and mysticism of the mainstream "high-end".

If you have a site you would like to add to the ring, please fill out the following form, then add the html code at the bottom of the page to your own web page. All sites are welcome, whether DIY or commercial, as long as they are true to the spirit of the Ultra-fi movement.

When you add your site to the ring, an email message will automatically be sent to you. Among other things, it will include an HTML fragment, already customized for your site and ready to be pasted into your home page. It will also include your site ID number and password. Please, save this email! You can use it to change the information about your site, if needed (for example, if you move to another ISP, or change your email address). Your site will then be in a queue, which I will review. As soon as I see you have added the HTML fragment to your home page, I will move your site from the queue to the ring.

Here you'll find a sample html fragment like the one you add to your home page when you join the webring. When you fill out the form to join the webring, an email message will be sent to you with an html fragment customized for your own site. Add that fragment instead, and everything should work correctly. If you choose to work with the sample instead, you need to change the --your email-- field to your email address, --your name-- to your own name, and especially change the --id-- fields to the id number that is sent to you when you fill out the form above. If the --id-- field is not changed to a valid webring id, the links won't work.

Feel free to customize the appearance of the html, as long as all the links are preserved!
